I never really understood making a fan film. Its totaly unmarketable as far as getting any of your money back. I mean why not be creative and do somthing original and at least trying to get a return. Am I thinking to hollywood here? I just dont understand thats all.

I shot a film a year ago in 24 hours. Now due to speacial effects and animation I am looking at another year or more in post!!!! Just a reminder of the triangle. cheap - fast - good = you can only have two of the three!!!!! :roll:

easier? no. more marketable and true to appearence? yes. I would always prefer editing non-linear than on a flatbed. Transfering to tape? dosen't that defeat the purpose? does it really matter? who cares!

I shoot dv because it is a viable medium. The same to for painting, I use water color, acrilic or oils because they are all viable. It all matters what I feel the film wants!!! Film the happy trees!!! trees are always happy!

malinusmaximus I agree. I think if an idie filmmaker is going to make an action flick they should focus on character development. I mean look at the professional and albino alagator, both action flicks and both focus on the characters instead of just running around cheap pyro effects and 2.00...

WOW!!! at first glance I didnt think too much but after you explain how you only used your webcam and your VERY VERY VERY limited equipment. I think you did a good job with what you have!!!

YEAH GREAT JOB. what process and how did you do the color corecting? Can you give some hints?

I love the inagery. I am a little stupid and get imbarrassed when I try to explain what I got from films like this. So instead why dont you tell us what the statement was that your portraying with this. Jason
