editing Adding camera movement in Post. Are there any issues?

I've done this a few times, but so little, it's not noticable if you don't look for it. I've only done it when I neded to frame out something, and then make sure another movement was frame right. It looks nowhere as good as a real pan or tilt, and should be avided in narritive on purpose.

What about a 5 minute film? although it hasn't hit the festival circuit yet, so that's what I'm debating.

    About to Shoot on RED

www.Red.com Scaret isnt out. and youd be paying for just the body. Unles you get the shitty fixed lens scarlet. And for the OP RED hates 3rd party gear, so make sure you have the right external monitor and other accessories, or you'll be in for a head ache. It wont be out for a while, so...

I thought it looked great, not sure if there were any none-VFX in the teaser, but the VFX looked great.

Like many said, the focus bothered me to no end. I'm an AC, and it distracted me to the point I stopped watching. It's a big problem with amatures using DSLRs.

    action movie camera advise

I'm almost sure your over looking a 3 camera shoot. Using multiple cameras means, more light, bigger set up times, more time for coordination, etc. You cant set a shot up for one camera and stick 2 more cameras in, you need to light for them as well, and make sure their settings all match. If...

Renting out my camera rig.. how to insure?

You insure it through an insurance company, but im not sure if it works the same way in the UK. You can always rent it out and yourself as a 'tech', and go along with the camera to the set and you'll be able to take care of your gear, and can help with any problems. Then make some connections...

To the filmmakers, who HATE piracy...

I agree 100% with sonny, and do think some people replying have a bit of a skewed idea. If you want to promote via torrent, you put the first 5-10 minutes of your feature or an extended trailer, if they like what they see, and want to see the rest, they will have to pay for it.

    archived-videos KillerWeed trailer

I thought the cinematography, VFX, SFX, etc where above par. I just have a problem with the concept and the DSLR look. But it's personal prefrence and I still think it will do well in its own.

archived-videos Our new indie trailer up!

Great cinematography. Acting is great as well. I had a problem with the 'Designer SFX' sound effects in the trailer, seemed cheezy. As well as, I didn't get much of a story from the trailer, there were a lot of characters introduced, made it even harder to follow.

editing question for those who have gotten/ do pro post audio work

^What he said :) I couldn't give a quote, cause it could be free to a couple grand, and I'm no sound mixer. I've been in luck and my location Sound Mixer who works at a post studio has done it for free.
