chek out the dslr's like the t2i, i shot my first film with a kodak zi8, it has a macro setting which makes it good for CU. You can plug a mic in so... and it's like £140 from pc world or on ebay about £100 well worth it. Youtube Zi8 test footage you will be suprised how effing good this cam is.

try make them human, maybe the main character is a killer but why has he turned out that way. back story- is he looking for something. I jus finished a 16 page script were my main character is a tad weird, but it turns out he killed somebody by accident. Make it as human as possible

actually, i watched a video by filmriot on youtube and it showed three low budget cams and now i really want a HV-40, or the HF-M31, but it all depends on your needs and what you're shooting

I'm shooting a film in the autumn and I'm using a DSLR cam, I have around 700 maybe 800, but I would want the body and lens. So is there any good DSLR cams that have stood out for people. I'm thinking of the Canon T2i but I'm not sure if it has a external mic jack. Any help please

to be honest with you, you should just teach your self how to write screenplays and do it on your own, or find a friend close to home, sometimes working with a script over the internet might lead to complications and other stuff
