My (ahem) version of The Empire Strikes Back.

Backing the NSA eavesdropping is barely a majority. Most people are not concerned, oddly. The biggest outcry is from the democrats. Dems actually care about personal freedom, but often try to control life outside your house. You forgot only a couple, small, but extremely important details about...

Total price for decent level filming?

"Taking your time to set up the shot" means 10 to 100 people waiting around while you take your time. Every single minute is money in the producer's mind. I claim that one of the biggest benefits from being an experienced director or crewmember is that you take less time to set up the shot you...

My (ahem) version of The Empire Strikes Back.

Not believable. Lol, Vader as a dem? I can just imagine him wanting healthcare for the empire. Also, way too full of Tea party cliches and showed no understanding of any current party. It did make me chuckle though.

format A few questions about story logic, format issues and queries in Screenplays

The answer for #2 is mostly that it doesn't matter if it's real science or not. It's the setting for a story, so it is what it is... Make sure it is compelling, suits the story well, and doesn't detract from it. An example of bad is if the science is so wrong without explanation that a 3rd...

format Why are scripts in the format they're in?

It's easy to read, especially at a glance. Imagine glancing at a page in a novel to try to remember a line. You simply can't skim over a full page to find your line nearly as quickly.

Total price for decent level filming?

I'm having trouble watching it just from the epileptic editing. Picture quality looks pretty good though. Gahh, I couldn't make it through the whole thing. Seriously, that was painful. That was as annoying to my eyes as a roomful of loudmouths on cellphones is to my ears. The sound and picture...

format Why are scripts in the format they're in?

In the photography world, selective color is a big indicator of crappy image. It's not always true, and I've seen one or two selective color images that were good. The rest of them are crap.

    Canon T3i vs EOS-M

There is a v2 selling in Japan now. Similar, but has WiFi which presumably allows remote control. And pretty good AF apparently. I haven't seen much of using the eos m for aerial video, although it's used for stills.

    Canon T3i vs EOS-M

One of the things I wanted to do with the eos-m was use a usb remote controller with it, but apparently it doesn't respond properly over usb to software such as DSLRcontroller. I would have considered it for something usable on a quadcopter.

photographer transitioning to motion picture on limited budget; help?!

Interesting. Actually, I don't have such a view of the sex trade, but the USA and most of North America does, and from my side of the pond it sounded very much insulting. Personally, I have no issue with the sex trade provided it isn't trafficking people and is safe for all involved but that...

Add a :) to the end of my last sentence, btw.

photographer transitioning to motion picture on limited budget; help?!

If you can't deal with a different perspective, it is you who fail. As a fashion photographer, I gave you some insight on how what you said woyldve been interpreted by a fashion photographer because you didn't understand why it was offensive. You, instead ignorantly maintain that it was not...

What's a good camera with interchangeable lenses?

Some more info on the gh4. Apparently the sensor scores pretty low on dxomark (like 2 stops lower than the gh3, and noisier). If this doesn't improve by launch, I can't recommend it for stills or video.

photographer transitioning to motion picture on limited budget; help?!

I come from a photography background, and it pays the bills. But I would note that maybe salacious's comments were removed, because I thought FFP's comments were really harsh for little reason. He disagrees, but as a photographer, I was taken back. The op said, essentially, here's some b.roll...

    Favorite Canon mount lenses?

The 24-105 is definitely a strong lens with IS, but I'm pretty sure it's not parfocal. The wide angle barrel distortion is not great, either. But still, it's a good deal and has a great range.

Can you get a tunsgten balanced flash for still photography?

No. All light is colored. Or all of it is white, if it's white balanced correctly. Doesn't matter is 100% of the people agree with you, you don't vote on what's true except when it's a tyranny by the people. I'd be delighted to tell you the needed info, but you've been led to water so many...

    Favorite Canon mount lenses?

That's on my list! But it's EF-S only, and I'm not shooting with my 7D as often anymore :(

    Favorite Canon mount lenses?

Remember the t4i is a crop sensor camera, so 15mm isn't as crazy extreme as it is on a full frame (although it's still fairly wide). I would have trouble using that on my 5d3, but could find uses on my 7D. I'm thinking the budget is not very high since he's using a t4i.
