Looks good. I'd pay to see it.

    archived-videos The Poem-Short Horror Film

I'm pretty sure Tales From the Crypt used to come on like that 20 years ago per the hall. I am not a horror or poetry guy, but this was pretty darn well done I think. Keep going!

    archived-videos People (Short Film)

The footage looks nice. Still, I have no idea what in the world the story was and at about 1 minute, the effect of the nice imagery was fully expended. It didn't grab my attention at all. I waited for something to happen and nothing really notable ever did. My own skills are weak so take my...

    archived-videos Disillusion-Short Film

The girl is a pretty darn good actor. The guy, not so much. This was not my kind of short, but I still thought it was worth watching. Mildly disturbing.

    archived-videos Grief - Abstract Film

The acoustic song played would sound awesome on an electric played as metal:yes: What did you shoot it with? The kid at the end had it coming. But seriously, what did you shoot it with?

archived-videos Because I Love You - Feature Film

I generally liked it. The only scenes that looked pretty odd in my opinion were when all the guys throw the lady in the car and when the woman was squatted in the woods watching. The camera work seems less impressive there. It looked more home video like to me whereas the rest of the trailer...

archived-videos Real Gorilla Enters Pro Wrestling

Well, there are some interesting shots there and it is a unique idea. I laughed out loud once. The Andy character was interesting. I cannot figure out why I did not find the delivery all that funny. The basic concept you have is inherently hilarious. I am at a loss. All that said, I look...

:yes:The subliminal message at the end did work...I DID have fun watching. It needs 27% more Munn though.

    archived-videos Bromance. Web Series.

That was pretty interesting and relatively funny. I actually am looking forward to seeing why that guy is curled up on the floor. The womans end of the call was a bit overly loud on my monitor. The acting is not quite convincing...still funny though and Monty Python skits aren't known for great...

What camera class as an upgrade from XL2?

$3000 or so max. Less is better if it will get a nice finished product once I learn to do my part. Used is fine by me too

What camera class as an upgrade from XL2?

I will be working with my XL2 for a while yet as I make a few more shorts and improve my skillset. From there, I will be looking into HD cameras to continue with. I see so much info here that it is hard to decided which way to go. I see many folks here are using camera's like the 5D which as I...

archived-videos The Chase: Short Action Movie

It looked to me like one of those POV harnesses the guys on the bigfoot and ghost hunting shows use. Either that or maybe he one-handed the camera down low. Pretty interesting. The MP5 looked like an airsoft gun of some kind. If there would have been falling brass, it would have been more cool...

    archived-videos "knickknacks" a short film...

The footage looks wonderful! The thing dragged for me a bit at first, but the ending was quite touching. I enjoyed it in the end all told. Glad I did not give up half way through...there was an awful lot of a guy laying in bed for the first 3:09. If there were any way to make that shorter and...

archived-videos Short Love Tragedy- Memories in a Bottle

That one had some good looking footage! The one thing that caught my eye as odd was that her pants were wet before she even reached the guy in the water. There's probably a joke somewhere in there, but I ain't touching it

archived-videos OK, here it is...my first ever video

I appreciate your input. The speaking thoughts aloud part is something I had not considered and now looking back, I believe you are 100% correct. Your other points are valid as well in retrospect. Thanks for taking the time to help me improve. I will catch up to you guys one of these days.

archived-videos OK, here it is...my first ever video

The jump cut you mention in particular was a sad loss for me. The bad thing is, I couldn't find a smooth way to use the funniest shot I took. That item no one has noticed so far next to the roll of tape and the gun on the dresser got used as a club to warm up for combat in the original version...

archived-videos Short Nightmare Film-The Fear Within

I watched the entire thing. My cinematography skills are the least of anyone here(including lesser than your own by a mile) so I'll just stick to what I saw as a viewer of the story since appreciating a good story is something I am decent at. The startle effect worked great the first time. The...

archived-videos OK, here it is...my first ever video

Not too far away in Va Beach. I am not opposed to hands on working/learning and driving a couple hours from time to time on weekends. Thanks for the input both of you. I learned a lot on this first attempt. I had given little thought to shot composition...I was most worried about bad...

archived-videos OK, here it is...my first ever video

This is the only thing I have ever filmed aside from my kids with a sony handycam. I used a Canon XL2 and a rode mic strapped to the camera for this one. I had three redheads for lighting and still had problems...lighting is not easy  The acting is bad and I had a problem with the hallway...
