story How can I get this idea to work for my story?

Why not have look a likes on low quality tape having sex. .. maybe the people setting it up have done enough research to know that the politicians will have unimpressive alibis fit wear they were at that time. Also I agree to keep the courts out of it.

Two very quick script-writing Qs (technical)

For emphasis on a word you would underline it but that's something most would advise you to use sparingly or not at all as the actors should have room for interpretation.

    Feature Feedback

That is a great suggestion. Wow, I gotta get to planning and writing because that does seem like a much more appropriate direction.

    Feature Feedback

Thanks a ton. Those fantasy scenes are bothering me a lot right now. I'm going through those today to get a better idea of what's missing. Your opinion is very encouraging because I have started to get frustrated with the script. I think I've been looking at it too long. Thanks again.

    Feature Feedback

Hi all, I would love some feedback on a feature screenplay I have been working on. Any one interested in reading, please post or message me your email address. I will send a pdf. :) I've worked hard on this project and really need a fresh set of eyes and some honest (harsh is fine) criticism...

    Is my premise believable?

I would first search online. The thing I love about being a writer in this day and age is internet forums. There are pretty much online support groups for everything these days. I would see if you could find something like that and just stalk, don't post. I think it would be crossing the line...

    Black or African American

I would only say African American if you also refer to White people as Caucasian. It just seems so forced and politically correct. So I say Black if you're going to mention it.

    Is my premise believable?

#1 - You should probably do some research to figure out a good technicality for him beating trial #2 - If he almost got caught, wouldn't it be more realistic for him to keep his hands clean and maybe orchestrate his work through "employees" of some sort? Maybe he is adamant about keeping his...

plot Would this plot idea work with one actor?

How big is the town? If you watch Bates Motel, the sheriff does a lot of stuff by himself. It works because he is the head guy in charge AND it's a pretty small town.

    Thank You IndieTalk

Thanks Birdman. I think a lot of people have learned so much in the threads you've started, myself included. Congratulations on the screenplay :)

    Breakdown Question

Thanks. Also, aren't you supposed to note wardrobe/pros/etc that are not explicitly stated in the screenplay? For instance, if it's a hospital scene and your lead is a patient. The hospital gown may not be mentioned in the scene but should be noted right?

    Breakdown Question

So maybe I'm over-thinking this, but when you do your script breakdown if a props appears multiple times within the same scene do you notate that prop each time or just the first time you see the prop? I'm thinking I should notate only the first time within each scene but the further I g et...

Pitching a web series to this production company...

Communicate in writing. Email is great. Create a folder of emails strictly for your correspondence pertaining to this project. Your script is copyrighted from the moment you write it down so you need to keep a paper trail showing that it was in fact you who wrote it and not Joe the Jerkoff if it...

    Script Review Questions:

Birdman, this sounds really cool but I would imagine that if your aliens are too awkward as agents that it may either (A) spoil the ending because something's already off about them or (B) make it hard to follow and take away from the ending in that aspect. I imagine that having the aliens come...

    Community Project

Thriller sounds like the easiest of these to incorporate a range of filmmakers' styles. It could be cool to have the story include a a group of people from all over meeting on the internet planning "attacks" to get across some message. I imagine what Project Mayhem would have been into had Fight...

    Script Review Questions:

Honestly, it sounds like it would be helpful for you to have feedback from more than one source. Has anyone else read the script? A few opinions laid out in front of you may make it easier to determine if the issue was a reader's interpretation or lack of clarity on your part. As far as the six...

    Need Rap/street slang in screenplay

If you are looking to sell the screenplay I would be very concerned about incorporating the I-Phone. I can only imagine the cost of using Apple's brand especially with such an important role in the film. It seems like it would be a huge turn off to anyone reading the screenplay.

    Need Rap/street slang in screenplay

This sounds way more interesting now :) I do think though the device may seem more believable if separate from the I-phone. That sounds like a stretch to me but I'd love to see if other people feel differently (it could just be me).
