2006 Halloween Horror 13 Day Challenge

Damn... that sucks! Is it going to be re-delivered before the 29th? I'd suggest e-mail them and inform them of the situation. I'm sure they'll understand.

$54.50 for FedEx. I don't trust the post office.

2006 Halloween Horror 13 Day Challenge

How is it costing you $46.50 from the Twin Cities and it's costing me $54.50 from Chicago? Sheesh. Nice screen cap, btw. Can't wait to see the film.

    archived-videos The Quiet Darkness

A week ago we shot a short film for a 13-Day Horror Film contest. It has been submitted to the UK company running the contest and have now posted the film our website. The Quiet Darkness is a supernatural thriller about the remaining 10 minutes of a young woman's life. If any one is...

    Indie Theaters

I'm trying to find a list of indie theaters in the U.S. in the major metropolitan cities, theaters like the Musicbox here in Chicago. Does anyone know of web site that has a list of such theaters? I can't find any. If there is no such site that you know of but you know of a theater could you...

    Bypass the managers and agents?

From what I've been told (my an agents assistant) is that they won't take any script seriously unless there is a pricetag for the actor/actress if they take the role. They like numbers.

2006 Halloween Horror 13 Day Challenge

Well, we did a one day shoot and am currently editing it the film now. I thought that it would run around 4-5 minutes. I started to sweat a bit as the running time creeped closer and closer to 10-minutes. Managed to complete the first cut with a running time of 9:30. Cutting it close!

    The Cost of Fifteen Minutes

That I don't know. Since they all work secretly on the BitTorrent site I don't think they use their real names in the credits. Haven't watched it all the way through though so I can't be sure.

    The Cost of Fifteen Minutes

Well, Pirate Bay (a BitTorrent site) has a feature film up they made for free and are accepting donations for it. I don't know how well that's working though. It's not a bad idea, but my only concern is that the majority of people who use BitTorrent are most likely not interested in supporting...

Neither can I. I get an error stating just that "There was an error opening the page." It looks to be a Flash video so it should be universal.

    cinematography Night Filming

I don't advice Day for Night unless absolutely necessary because it will not look the same as if you were actually shooting at night. The best advice I can give is light it! Light everything! You may want an experienced d.p. for this because s/he will really make the scene look right for you...

I guess the next question is how much was being asked for? Does the requested cost maybe affect their gambling mood?

    Venture Capital

I'd much rather go through private investors but the problem is I don't know anyone that is a milionaire. (I don't know anyone that makes over $70,000 a year come to think of it.) I'm hoping my next project is unique enough (and not that expensive considering...) that a VC will take the risk...

    Question for alcohol drinkers...

Go with Mallort. It's the only legal drink in the US made from wormwood so not only does it get you drunk but it also can make you hallucinate. And if that isn't badass enough to make your character drink it consider the fact it tastes like Off (the bug spray). Good stuff... :D
