It can work, certainly. The problem was, for me at least, I had to become an acting teacher. My actors would show up to set unprepared, then we'd spend two hours just trying to get them off book on a 2 page scene. Let alone any sort of directing or blocking that needed to be.

The reasons he's making irrational decisions is because he's high. He's an addict returning to his drug, so he's not making good decisions. I do also find the Tommy Wiseau comment harsh, hence why I don't understand it because that's one of the most terrible films and scripts I've ever seen...
