The deal is for video/DVD, internet, mobile, new media (i.e. BluRay, HD-DVD, etc.) and television. I've been told that we can expect to see the title in all major rental stores (minus Hollywood Video... apparently they're on the verge of bankruptcy and are very picky on what they put on the...

Just wanted to spread the word: our feature film, Dead in the Water, has been acquired by Indican Pictures for North American distribution! Now, hopefully, we can get a few international sales too. :)

I sent a reviewers copy to the UK from Customflix a while back. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me but I think it was around $4 or $5.

From what I understand at one time, when DV was new, this was true. You didn't want to run differents tapes through a camera or deck. But now that DV has had a chance to mature it no longer applies.

Is anyone familiar with this? Sony's facts sheet about it makes it sound good but I'm curious if it's really that much better over standard DVCAM? Anyone?

I am a few days away from signing a contract to allow distribution of my film. One thing that's throwing me off, however, is their request of six separate audio tracks (1-2 dialog, 3-4 sfx, 5-6 music). Now the film will be delivered on DigiBeta but it is my understanding that DigiBeta only...

If you want to print directly onto the DVD disc (which is what is sounds like) you can pick up pretty much any $100+ Epison printer and they come with software to allow what you want to do. Just get the blank printable DVD/CD. It works very well.

Holy Crap! Today the awards were announced for the Halloween Horror 13-Day Challenge. As I've already mentioned The Quiet Darkness was an official selection of the festival (i.e. was in the top ten films screened) . As if that wasn't enough of a pat on the back we took home three other...

It's a great marketing ploy. I doubt these films are too "shocking" but whatever... I'm still intrigued.

I've worked with the actress once before on Dead in the Water. As for the statc effect it was a plug-in I have for Final Cut Pro. Just had to go in and decide on how slow or quick it came and went.
