Cute idea. However, as said already, it REALLY needs music and sound design. It's very hard to watch without it. Even if you can't get someone to write original music, you can use already created music (as long as you don't plan on making a penny from this).

Ya, that's how SFR rolls with 48s. They prefer to do trailer or trailer-ish entries that might inspire a feature later. We like to call them cliff notes. ;)

Definitely, as said, you want to create the main look on set and in camera. Lighting for noir is crucial...you have to do it physically to achieve what you want.

lol. I'm not the biggest fan of handheld either, but this crew knew how to do it right. It's a style choice by design and it works for the scene. I also very much like the actor I'm acting with (John Mosetich)...the best performances are always given opposite someone as talented or better...

That film is SMALLTOWN. It is still in post, and that scene you saw was edited and sound designed by me, so you'll have to ignore the lack of design or color correction. I hope it doesn't stand out as poorly done...in other words, it does not reflect the final product! :)

Our sound is always good. We stick the mic right in your face (except when you yell of course :)) We don't have an onset sound mixer...just a boom op...but the cutter does the design in post, and he's pretty good. I mean the levels are check depending on the scene, don't get me wrong...it's...

Ok OK, firstly, the origin of Spiderman was already done...the one with Tobey, and it was a great flick, well done on all levels. Secondly, who was playing too much Mirrors Edge when they decided to create a trailer? What is this a video game port? Silly.

No contest...Spiderman. Would break his bones in one swing.... Oh, wait, you mean blockbuster standings...and reality. Right. I like both of them...wish both of them well, however, I'm hoping for Spiderman to come out strong. More potential as a series I think. My own opinion. thanks.

Unfortunately I coudn't attend the screening, but in seeing a snippet of the after-show interviews and one of the leads talking, there was a lot of laughter in the audience, so they seemed in good spirits. Whether they liked it or not, I think you always have to give the SFR team credit for...
