I used Premiere CS4. It was great but it crashed a lot. I solved the problem by force quitting all my running programs before an export. However, I can export in FCE with a bunch of stuff running. Love AE and Sound booth though.

We used a number of different casting websites to cast our production. Ironically all the submissions from an "agency" were a bad fit and not used. We also used craigslist ("gigs" Section for free in LA). Also, a really cool owner of a casting website let us use his office for auditions totally...

We filmed on a street in West LA. It turned out okay. I was expecting a disaster really. It's easier to go up to an area like Santa Clarita with less traffic though.

I agree with everyone else. Drop your current producer. Also, as already stated you may want to be your own producer if you are financing your production. A friend who works for free can end up costing you more money that not having them if they mess up the scheduling and the shoot is extended...
