movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

I watched that again recently too (hadn't seen it since childhood) It definitely wasn't as good as I remember, feel like they could have done a lot more with it. Did it even have the Mario music in it??? Such a good film. Love Christopher Walken's character. Really? I tried to watch it...

    screenwriting money confusion...

Google reveals that you are correct. 5 mil paid for "Dejavu", the Denzel Washington film. Seems like an awful lot, don't it.

cant make it past page 10

This was my line of thinking also. The photo ahennessey posted says it all. Maybe step away from the screenplay for a bit and start planning some more. I know it sucks, but it'll be worth it in the long run. Otherwise some great advice already put forth by everybody. ^

Big Fish -- 4.5/5 Admittedly I haven't 'Dark Shadows' or the feature length version of 'Frankenweenie' yet, but after repeated viewing I really think this is Tim Burton's best film. It's certainly my favourite of his anyway, and that's saying something because I LOVE 'Batman Returns' and 'Ed...

    Screenwriting for Literature Only

I have never seen a published screenplay that hasn't already been made into a film. Self-publishing could definitely be an idea though. Not sure about Tennessee Williams, but I'm pretty sure Woody Allen has published books of one-act plays that he never had any intention of taking to the theatre.

12 Angry Men -- 9/10 One of those movies I'd been meaning to watch for a long time but putting it off for no real reason at all. Finally decided to sit down and view it, and am very glad I did. Makes you realise just what you can do with a good screenplay and some decent actors. I mean...

Are Arnold's and Sly's time over?

True. I think the best thing for them would be to try and adapt into some different sorts of role. ie. the mentor, the boss, the official, the administrator, etc, rather than trying to carry the films themselves. If their ego's allow them to step into more supporting sorts of roles, they could...

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

That is so cool. The ending is amazing, I can't imagine the film any other way. Last film I watched; TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES II: THE SECRET OF THE OOZE Ohhhh man! 10/10. I hadn't seen this film in years. The costumes, the voices, the one liners, the sound track, the fight scenes. :yes...

    I think i'm addicted to...

 Woolly mammaries. I guess I'm addicted to coffee. And alcohol. Neither in a serious way, but I've tried to give both up at various stages and can never last more than a week or so. Suppose they are both okay in small doses. I'm probably a little addicted to sports. Every season I...

    R.I.P. Blockbuster

This is sad news. In Australia Blockbuster is owned by different people to the States and so there is still a few around here, but they are slowly dwindling. You would imagine they will very soon go the same way here too. My first job was as a nervous, squeaky voiced teen working at a...

    Space Shuttle Memories

Um, hate to break it to you, but that was all fake. There is scientific proof that Stanley Kubrick filmed it all and the US Government has been covering it up ever since.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7pzg9xpAOE ..... No, I kid, I kid. But there are HEAPS of these stupid docos...

Now that Disney owns Star Wars ...

Release date confirmed for December 18 2015. What is that? Only...like...770 days to go? Personally I think a separate Han Solo saga would be pretty sweet, but that's a big role to try and fill. Wonder who they'd get to play the young Han? Hey, maybe a prequel could show the infamous 12 parsec...

I might have a job on another feature film, but...

Way to go man. Easy enough to put together? Why not try making ANOTHER 1 minute video and really try and set a tone for the piece? Can you use music/shot selection/editing to give the video a distinct feel? eg. 'Dangerous City', 'Lonely City', 'Busy City', 'Greedy City', 'Cool City'...

    What's your Dream Remake?

Dang, you're right. From Wikipedia; "Almost from the moment Casablanca became a hit, talk began of producing a sequel. One titled Brazzaville (in the final scene, Renault recommends fleeing to that Free French-held city) was planned, but never produced. Since then, no studio has seriously...

    X-Men: Days of Future Past...Drool

Looks really cool. Might have to go back and watch them all again before seeing this I think. Can't remember how the last couple ended.
