    Running a 550d for a shoot. Also will be using a Glidetrack HD & some other things. It hould be fairly lightweight but obviously study when handling pans, tilts etc as we'll be shooting on uneven ground.. I've head good things about the Manfrotto tripods w/ a nice fluid head. Any suggestions...

    The kit lens is a good all-rounder. Are you getting just the body 550d or the full kit? If the full kit, you're good from the off. If just the body; the 50mm 1.8 Prime should be your first port of call.
