It really isn't that difficult to teach someone how to boom op,on a recent short I put together I had a boyfriend of one of the actresses boom for me,he had never done it before and did a fine job,the sound came out perfectly well.

I absolutely loved this,I've watched it 4 times.The only thing I don't like is the amount of travelling shots,think a couple of them could have been different,but other than that its one of my favourite shorts and its stuck with me all week.
