t2i-t3i 'Movie recording has been stopped automatically' in bright scene.

In my case, the buffer indicator pinged. The temp indicator did not show anything. I am left wondering why bright light or bright spots would need to write more data. ..or is it a hardware safety thing. Reading up on memory cards, there are some specific cards some folks are using...

t2i-t3i 'Movie recording has been stopped automatically' in bright scene.

Using a Class 6 Transcend card, I got the error message 'Movie recording has been stopped automatically'. Googling revealed that this is a buffer issue.. I'm getting better memory cards. But here is the question: I've used these cards on my HD camcorder.. I figure the t3i might be...

filming at 60fps vs 30fps .. strongest Image quality.

.. a question about that, I have some footage at 1/50 and I felt like it was strobing a little bit during panning. The 1/30 seemed better. I know the 180* shutter speed is a well known rule of thumb, so I'm wondering if my pan was too fast? ..or is there something else I missed?

    'Carry on' gear bags?

Hi guys, I'm looking to transport a DSLR, video camera, mini video camera, laptop, lenses, .. basically as much as possible on a plane. Here is the rub, in our area anyone with a 'rollerboard' , basically carry on luggage with wheels, is usually asked to fork over the bag at the gate. This...

filming at 60fps vs 30fps .. strongest Image quality.

Hi all, I am trying to build the flexibility of slo-mo into my shots.. Not that all of them are slow, but the ability to choose would be nice.. If I don't want slow motion, does it make sense to go back to 30fps? For the strongest quality image I am assuming the following on my T3i.. (that...

TIPS/TRICKS Floating dust and flying mud..?

For sure it is! I have just seen some types of dusts that really suspend in the air and catch light.. I'd throw talc in the air, but I want little pops of light in the rays.

    editing Photoreal Cities

Damn thats a very tall order.. I did a few cities for some shots, and it was always Matte painting over geometry. We found rendering everything for a scene with a lot of perspective to be too intensive to get to look photo real, even for a pro shop. Don't let that discourage you, there are a...

TIPS/TRICKS Floating dust and flying mud..?

Hi, I have two effects I would like to achieve.. -One will be a dusty saloon, with shafts of light.. In the shafts of light, I'd like to have dust particles catching the light and floating around. -The second effect will be mud and grit being kicked around during a high energy dance scene. I...

Crap missed your post IB. I'll keep your 5' tip at the top of my list. I kinda wondered how heavily I'll rely on the magnify mode. I have a feeling it will be very handy.
