    Horizontal bloom & kickdrum blur

Wow! I didnt even know that was possible. The ability to automatically connect an effect to sound spikes would be HUGE for me.

    Horizontal bloom & kickdrum blur

Here is the footage. Here is, kinda what I have in my head for a goal. I did see a tutorial on how to get the objective, so I figure i'll be following something close to that. Do you think I need to do the effect before or after I have my final edit? The entire clip is 4 mins long, 1080...

    Horizontal bloom & kickdrum blur

I have done that to a degree of success on an earlier project. I found it to be a tad less elegant than I wanted. Off my head, I'd like the ability for highlights to blur farther, than shadows. Speaking in photoshop terms, I'd also like the blur to be closer to a color dodge, than normal, or...

    Horizontal bloom & kickdrum blur

I guess, I was hoping for someone to reply.. 'Oh, get that all in 1 perfect pluging for vegas ... only 19.99'... Hahahaha.. it will only take you 5 minutes to do with that!!

    Horizontal bloom & kickdrum blur

.. man I am feeling like the million questions guy. I know most people achieve the look through AE and I've found some tutorials to the effect.. I'm just wondering if that is the industry standard. I'm looking to add an anamorphic bloom to some moving lights, and I am looking for an effect...

    Alternatives to Sony Vegas..?

Downloaded a trail of Premier Elements and started some tests. Most was going well, until the audio got choppy.. and since this is a music vid, I'm sad.. hahah. Kinda found a workaround for Sony vegas, so for now that's what I have to resort to.

    Alternatives to Sony Vegas..?

Yeah, dslr.. Canon t3i footage, but I had similar problems with Sanyo footage a while back. The product is just not robust enout in my experience. Any project more than a few minutes, and god forbid, color correction is prone to problems.. This is my 4th time debugging issues, and finding...

    Alternatives to Sony Vegas..?

I'm getting so many crash issues in damn Sony Vegas 9.. If it's not clips turning green or red, random crashes, it's rendering crashes... Whats the next pro-sumer level of editing software that people generally like for PC. Thanks!

..Party scene, mixing two time lines?

That's a great tip. I did not think to follow the earlier time-line story point, right after that characters feature shot during the current time line.

..Party scene, mixing two time lines?

..I've got a party scene that I want to open with, but during the party I'd like to also tell about the drive to the party. Can anyone think of any pointers? or examples? The only thing I can come up with right this second is: I imagine the party is 'real' time.. and will be warm. I imagine...

filming at 60fps vs 30fps .. strongest Image quality.

Yep!.. I kept wondering why I was getting 'video' looking footage, but not filmic looking footage.. Search Veimo for Family Trip to Disneyland and search for Kilver court Gardens. You will find some very very strong and filmic imagery. The first example will also take you to a very cool, must...

filming at 60fps vs 30fps .. strongest Image quality.

Leaving a breadcrumb for the next guy.. Research shooting in a neutral image mode. The Canon t3i has many modes, most of which will over saturate and sharpen. Best results are to shoot a neutral image, and color correct after.

When to use Shoulder rig vs. counter weight stabilizer, vs. tripod?

Very nice, I built a skate dolly based on two wall mounts for shelves. It works like a charm. I'm currently trying to connect two together, but have yet to mask the seam well, so for now I can only go 6 feet.

When to use Shoulder rig vs. counter weight stabilizer, vs. tripod?

Yeah, I've come to that conclusion.. I'm kinda thinking that my shoulder rig cash was probably better (for me) budgeted towards a dolly or slider. I will continue practicing though. My footage is getting a tad more stable every time I get back on it.

When to use Shoulder rig vs. counter weight stabilizer, vs. tripod?

Okay I'm getting the picture now... For some reason I thought a shoulder rig was going to be a silver bullet....

When to use Shoulder rig vs. counter weight stabilizer, vs. tripod?

Thats what I feel right now.. My shoulder shots don't seem to flow as well as just holding a tripod.. :weird:
