New Indie Film Tech Tip: Green Screen Construction

Thank you good sir, Mr SPaulovich. As a younger lego man, I do see why PVC is to become my new best friend. Mikey D

    I Hit a Deer

Poke you'll get no mocking from me. I feel guilty when I set out the ant traps and watch those poor helpless little guys march in for what they think is a free meal..... I exploded a bird once with my truck. It flew out in front of me and I thought that it had cleared the grill untill I looked...

Official ITOOFC Round 3 Contest Entries!!!

 I never even notice that, Newport News huh?? Thats pretty cool. Hey wait a sec, is this some sort of ploy to buy my vote. My vote is still undecided so it just might work.;)

    Pro-Film Look

I think I get it. If the source material starts out as as individual frames instead of half frames combined it really doesn't matter how many times the image is uniterlaced and reinterlaced. So what is gained is an image that is free of the artifacts created by interlacing, is there a downside...

Official ITOOFC Round 3 Contest Entries!!!

Hey don't rush me... I'll vote when I am darn well good and ready and not a moment sooner. So many excellent entries and only one vote. Congratulations to all for a great set of short films. It is clear that a lot of hard work went into these films and I don't want to casually throw my vote...

    archived-videos The Perfect Sandwich

That was fun indeed. I don't have much to add to what has already been said except the accents did seem to slip around a bit. I have the same problem though. All my accents always seem to eventually make their way to some bad imitation of a monty pythonesque french... think "I spit in your...

archived-videos I'm All Yours by Bophe

Lots of strange, yummy goodness here. I liked not understanding what was going on, but hey my motto has always been the stranger the better. Even with the explination there was still plenty of oddness such as the "perhaps your left handed" bit. Great work with the angles, editing, and...

    archived-videos Far From Home

Having seen the pic of your garage studio it is amazing to see what you pulled off. The technical aspects were a bit off putting, zen hit the mark with his suggestions. I look foward to seeing what else you come up with in the future.

archived-videos Health Nut (ITOOFC3 Official Entry)

I adored the music in this one. Not exactly sure why but as soon as the music began I started giggling. I also loved the way the health nut jogged. Head held high and a lightness in his steps, just makes me want to sing out "tra-la-la tra-la-la"

Kudos for taking on a serious subject. This is clearly an issue that means a great deal to you. One of filmmakings greatest assests is its ability to reach people in a way that no other medium can achieve. Based on the responses of all those who have posted before me you have indeed achieved the...

Great work Zen. It's one in the morning and I sure hope the loud laughing didn't bother the neighbors. Loved the bartender too. I have spent many years in the food service industry and you do overhear some humdingers, the non reaction reaction is the only way to go. My only question I have...

    Pro-Film Look

I have been trying to get my head around this issue for some time and my biggest question is why? What I mean is... I am currently working with a miniDV camara, editing on my computer, burning to DVD and viewing on a television. If the final product is going to be viewed on a TV what...

    super8 camera for feature

Sorry to interupt but I have never heard this term- "blimp the camera"- would you please define. Does it have anything to do with baffling the sound of the camera to ensure a clean sound track? Thanks Mikey D

    Bravo's 100 Scariest Movies

The one movie that scared me more than any other would have to be "Titanic" I mean it. An hour an a half of watching that ship sink, knowing that all of those people really did die in that way. All the ghosts, demons, and zombies can't compare with truth. And the nice candy coated love story...

Thanks. The site looks familiar. I'm sure I have been there before but that was probably before I was ready to deal with all that info. Definitly time for a relook.

??? for Vegas Movie Studio Users

hmmmm... very strange..... I haven't actually used the custom feature since the default settings lend themselves nicely to burning to dvd. My next project is to start playing with codecs and the such. Procastination however has been my motto. All those terms and options tend to cause my...

??? for Vegas Movie Studio Users

Actually my biggest complaint of Vegas movie studio is the weak state of its manual. Its great for folks just starting out or those whose only interest is home video work, but if you are looking to figure out how to work some of its more advanced features... well your just SOL.

??? for Vegas Movie Studio Users

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for since I am not really sure what you are trying to do, but..... Under make movie choose save to hard drive, choose "advanced render" from the lower left side. In the new window choose "costum" beside the templete options. Hope this helps.
