    A Motiveless Killer???

I don't think there should be a particularly complicated motive, but rather something that can exist if it ever is called upon. No need to write it in, no need to implement it in a complex backstory. Just something absolutely simple like "Uncontrollable urge" if someone ever asks. But then...

This is the MOST important aspect of filmmaking.

I can agree with that to a certain extent. You need all of the aspects of filmmaking in order for a film to look good. There is no MOST important aspect in my opinion. Everything is interdependent on each other (being Talent, cinematography, script, etc.)

Who Would You Rather See In A Movie?

In regards to Judge Dredd, I liked the characters in the new 2012 remake better because they were playing the part and not their usual selves. For the life of me I can't remember the actor's name but I know he plays the CIA agent in the first Red film, he may not be as famous as say Tom Cruise...

    Beginner Camera Questions

I'm not familiar with the Sony Movie Studio, but your great idea, shooting with a lot of light first then darkening the image in post, is what I would personally do. I could be wrong (someone please correct me if I am), but I would start out with using Day4Night filters if such thing exists...

    Practice Perfect Pitching

Reading through this thread, I'm getting mixed signals. Should a pitch be 5 or 15 seconds? Or possibly longer?

Patrick Stewart's Macbeth - 9/10. Beautiful rendition of the play, set in a Soviet Russian era.

    archived-videos Need opinions

Hi everyone, Recently I finished creating my High School's promotional video to welcome new students from Elementary schools. I'd just like some insight and critique on the short video; it helps in creating my own films now and down the line. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_ajzCy6Tyo...

    Audience Ratings

Hi everyone, Do you believe that it would be appropriate for the PG/PG-13 rating for a line of dialogue to be "What the Hell?" Should I change that to "Heck" to maintain the rating? Because this is being shown to kids of a younger audience (minimum target 11 years old) and I want to minimize...

Question about using Premiere Pro CS5.5

Adobe is weird this way. This may sound mediocre, but have you tried selecting the sequence (where the yellow border appears along the little window) and then trying to click on those settings? It happens to me all the time in After Effects, and I have a feeling that it's applicable to Premier Pro.
