have crap loads of ideas but don't know proper screenwriting? any help?

that was very helpful. my problem with screenwriting is that, people tell me, i write too well. lol, no i'm not full of myself, but i do know that it is one of my few talents. so i get to descriptive, to into nuance and at the end of the day, theres nothing for actors to work with. my script...

    So film is expensive...

rodriguez's book is titled Rebel Without A Crew. it's quite a good read and quite informative. the thing about the movie being made for 7000 is a myth. the cut the studios saw cost 7000 then they gave him 200 000 to shoot more/reshoot scenes. That's the version that was released.

well i'm from australia, but i like to pretend that my knowledge of american history and geography is above average but some areas of the US are a little foggy in my mind. well right now i am in an observing/learning phase. I watch others shorts... ask advice. and just chill back and enjoy the company. Writing/Directing...

well i agree with Lloyd the Great, or is that just Lloyd? his "lost in a world he doesnt understand" genre is quite good. Brazil is one of my all time top ten. but i would have to say all genres are good for me. Except fantasy, not a big fan. except LOTR, Legend etc. but havent seen to much fantasy.

Would anyone contribute to a "Wiki" Screenplay?

yes but this all depends on which of the two you are. The ones that loved Dusk Til Dawn. And the ones who thought it was a kickass heist movie til the zombies came along.

    Short versus Feature length

k just in personal opinion, i prefer features, i've never really been a fan of the short film format. I love some shorts, but the majority of shorts just don't do it for me. But on the flip side, they are a showcase for your talent. But just becausee you cn make a short competently doesnt mean...
