I didn't read it. As a producer, if this came to my desk I'd push it to the side. Format is very important.
But hey, as you said, you;re your own filmmaker, break some rules :)
Does it really have to be a Left 4 Dead spinoff? Couldn't it be your own thing? I feel that that would be better for your project.
What kind of comedy do you want? Acting comedy takes great actors that know what they're doing. If you don't have great actors, I;d recommend going for a more...
If you did pitch this to some TV execs, I would strongly recommend not showing them any of this footage. I feel it would really hurt your pitch. Are you looking at refining this footage further?
Hey guys,
I've gone through my MASSIVE Contracts for the FIlm & Television Industry book looking for a festival contract, but can not find one.
Basically I'm looking at hosting a small film festival and I need a contract for entrants saying that they're entering their film into the...
When I went to film school I found that my useful class wasn't any of my film classes, but a still photography class that I took on the side. I'd look around in your area and see if there's a part time class you can take on photography.
I don't live in LA, so I won't say anything about it. What I will say though is that India is one of the biggest film industries in the world, so other than to work IN Hollywood, I don't see why you'd want to leave. You'd be getting great experience in India, you just won't be making Hollywood...
I think the opening credits went too long for a short, the sound was terrible (I assume you were recording straight from the camera) and the score felt very out of place. But hey, first film! Well done! Most people don't even get that far! Keep frequenting these boards and you'll be sure to pick...
Here's the sound dvd that I was talking about. Sit down with your crew and watch it. It's surprisingly very watchable and doesn't feel like your back getting bored shitless in filmschool.

Sackface looked cool, but what took it away from me was the opening and the closing. He just seemed like a normal guy.
Also, and this just might be me, it's really a tell tale sign of inexperience when a horror short have horror movie references placed throughout. A lot of horror shorts do it...
I agree with what jmoschner said.
I'd recommend you get yourself Action Essentials 2, and watch the muzzle flash tutorial on http://www.videocopilot.net/
The ape costume was the same build of costume used in James Franco's The Ape.

In total the short cost around $1,500 AUS.
I usually have an idea of locations that I will be able to use. But when I write, I'm usually writing with the intention of producing the film myself, low budget. But when I'm writing for another production company I'll put whatever the hell I want into the script. They've got a few million...
Whilst somewhat visually interesting, I have no love for your shot as it didn't please me as an audience, but I highly doubt that I'm the kind of audience that you were aiming for.
Also, I'd try not getting into the habit of using music that you don't have legal permission to use.
