    archived-videos Strangers: Short Film

Good work, different style. I didn't quiet get the end of the story, though. After the alien blasts the guy and he comes back out of the hole, walking around like a zombie. How does this connect to the story? Perhaps there was something visual that I missed? Thanks for sharing.

    Getting out a funk....

Great idea. Count me in... I was wailing away on a one-minute piece for Wheat's deal, but when I reread the rules, I hadn't kept to the "one scene" requirement and abandoned the work. And so, The Sun Rose Twice will debut on April 1 as part of this home grown fest.

    Short film script needed

No script for you, but your linked work, A Halloween Nightmare Near Elm Street, is quite well done. Thanks for sharing.

The last line would come off much better without the F-bomb.

You certainly got the exploded debris right. Very realistic physics. As the others said, keep a it!

    What's the Protocol for...

Thanks to all for the suggestions and references. directorik - It's a very small project, and yes, we're covered on the adaptations. Actually, my point in registering it was more for protection than anything else. If the producer gets nothing, so be it. Thanks... Don

    Murder in a blizzard.

Sounds like a missing person case that develops into a murder as evidence is uncovered. Or, perhaps the protagonist comes to believe it is a murder, while everyone else wants to leave it as MP.

    What's the Protocol for...

I bought a screenplay a while ago and have been adding to it for production. There were a number of aspects that I felt were underdeveloped, but I loved the main premise. A new character has been added, along with several more scenes. The original idea and concept remain unchanged. It's about...

The Mutants Are Back in X-Men: First Class trailer -- The Filmsmith

It looks like there's good potential to the storyline. I'm a fan of the franchise, but I'll still wait for it come to rental.

    Time Travel movies

A less conventional time "travel" approach was done in Frequency, with Dennis Quaid. There a father and son talk to each other, through time, on an old short wave radio that was damaged. Was more like a Twilight Zone episode...

archived-videos WASTED LIFE - First Short Film

Nice job for a first short. I liked the editing in general. Good use of short shots to convey content. As others have pointed out, sound quality (echo) and camera (color saturation) are weak points. Honestly though, the story itself is worth shooting again once you are at a stage to address...

One Man Short - 1st Draft

That is an interesting twist on the presentation side. I do like it... a lot. Thanks to all for your consideration and input. Don

One Man Short - 1st Draft

Anti-X & FantasySciFi - Thanks very much for your input. In looking to fill this piece out a bit more, I was going to add two things at the beginning. One would be an audio-only segment, running under the intro titles, that depicts the salesman arriving, being met by the woman and some initial...

    Copyrighted Material

Now, it appears that you may be in luck, at least in the United States. Before going any further, I am not a lawyer and you should not rely on any statements I make. However, a search of the USPTO failed to show any live copyrights for the word mark "James Bond. There is one active trademark...

Scouting an office of cubicles in Toronto

You're a student... How about a college or university study room? Are there cubicles in the library? How big a room do you really need with the cubicles? Do you need a cubicle, or a cubby farm? Think about public spaces... do you need exclusive access or is it something that can be done in...

One Man Short - 1st Draft

Boy. A little inspiration goes a long way. Based on conversations in another thread, I wrote this up two nights ago. Spent last night playing with Celtx, but I'm not quite there yet. So, I did my best in Word and PDF'd it. It is 8 pages total. This is my first screenplay. I would likely shoot...

    SDHC Cards - Recommendations?

Hey all: I just did a comparison to look at the output of three 1024-capable cameras - GoPro HD, a Canon 60D DSLR and Canon HFS100 camcorder. I also had three different SDHC cards. One is a older Lexar that I know will only handle 720p in the Go Pro, so I put it there. I put a Class 4...
