get the Zoom H1 Handy Recorder and then sync up the audio in post. Instead of using a clapper board, just clap your hands together once to spike the audio. Good Luck :)

I won't be able to help on set because I am in Louisiana. But if you need help with vfx once shooting is done, I can help.

best way to do it for youtube videos: set it to h.264 and then change the next drop down box to hdtv-(whatever settings you filmed in). Then go down to video quality and bump up the bit rate to about 40. That'll give you the best quality which takes up the least amount of space.
