archived-videos House of Wolves - There She Goes [post-rock, lesbians, laser-eyed horses]]

Hey, the title says it all :). I always aim for horror in all of my work but this time - on a very short notice- I decided to come up with something rather surreal than sad and scary. And so we have "There she goes" where I aimed for this vintage look with a lot of film grain, and many surreal...

archived-videos Does God dream of dust in the wind? - short HORROR

Thanks for the feedback, guys, I'm really glad you liked it and thanks that you took some time to comment :). And when it comes to vignette - I have no clue, mate, it always seems to leave the ring, doesn't matter how much opacity, feather and other stuff is used

archived-videos Double Handsome Dragons - I saw a swan and it had your face

Hey there guys! Here's the vid I made for an absolutely awesome english group - Double Handsome Dragons. It's more or less a horror story about young, sleeping boy and his rather cruel and vivid imagination. But, hey, sometimes, when you wake up the reality can be just as bad - or even worse -...

archived-videos Some shadows like to stay up all night - short horror movie

Hey there, guys. So, anyways, here's my latest horror - but not as much horror as i wanted - flick. Basically all the info you need about the project is on youtube & vimeo. I was thinking should I post it in "experimental" or "narrative" since the narration was supposed to be chaotic and all...

Cannes Festival, short film corner, just learn my short film will be there.

@ belanger Why would i want to top you, I don't know you and have no interest in you? Everyone should take interest in their own life and their work. I just stated my opinion about the trailer that is not a trailer at all.. If you can't take criticism maybe the film is not your place to be - by...

    Any Ideas?

First of all: "The last song"? Man, you can do better than that. That's a nightmarish film with horrible acting and no plot whatsoever. (Had to see it - my sis' is a mioley cirus fan) I'm not a big fan of vegas. As for me it's one of the worst editing softwares there are. Nevertheless, you got...

    What did you watch, tonight?

I just finished watching "Lock up" with Sly. Man, I love those '80s action flicks - you can see any twist coming mile away but they are sure fun to watch. Packed with action, cheesy one-liners. Awesome :).

Cannes Festival, short film corner, just learn my short film will be there.

Well I guess Canada has to be really short on *good* short movies this year. It's only a guess after watching the trailer - althou it lasted only a minute it felt like i was watching it for a year or so - quite frankly it was horribly boring and looked like a teaser really - hopefully you will...

What would you recommend - budget around 6500$?

Hey there guys. I have budget as stated in topic. What would you recommend for me? I was thinking about canon 7d but i heard that there is only auto sound level and that seems not good since I definietely will have to record sound from time to time - but if you recommend some good audio device...

archived-videos Watch me leave - short horror movie

Glad to read you liked it. About the score: most sounds are from Pro Scores and DS/FX by Andrew kramers videocopilot.net. Rest was taken from my absolute favourite site freesound.org. All of the authors are mentioned at the end of the film.

Yes, youtube indeed makes everything darker. For those of you who can't get youtube vid to work, here is a vimeo link: http://vimeo.com/9853611 When it comes to the clock, well I'd like to leave it up to your interpretation. Will it all happen again? Does the stopping clock means the end of...

Need help with tinting and atmosphere

You're using FCP, Premiere? You can do it either way - mixing FCP with color or FCP/Premiere with After Effects. I'd say go with AE- play with the rgb curves to get some nice white & black, work on the other ones as well. Check levels and increase or decrease whites and black - you can make sure...
