Really liked the camera work, really helped with the feeling of the short. The story too was quite creepy, I mean what's scarier than a recurring nightmare that is actually happening.
I would have to say though the body language and acting of the main character was a little bit unconvincing at...
Does anyone know how well a 50m 1.8 lens with a 550D hold up at night in a parking lot. The parking lot has street lights every..say 20 meters or so. With my stock 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 night shooting is really hard with out my own lighting, and videos on youtube with low-light shots are helpful, but...
Tell me someone just watched tonight's episode of Dexter. Un-freaking-believable.
One thing I don't get though is that how did Either way, can't wait till next week.
Holy christ, that lens is un-freaking-believable.
And now that you mention it, golf seems ridiculous. How do they find/keep that tiny ball in frame? This stuff always amazes me.
I'm wondering what kind of cameras and focus systems are used for sports broadcasts. I noticed in a soccer game that the camera was gigantic. I'm also wondering how they have such shallow DOF yet the player is always in focus, I've never seen a breathing focus either so I'm guessing it's...
The word file I have now is around 4 pages without the 3rd act, so I think with it it might be 7, but I don't want it to be that long, so I'm probably going to try and shave it down to 4-5. A lot of my script is on paper when I write it during my spare at school so I still have to transfer over...
That may be true, it was the first time I've ever heard it though :P
I'm more or less done the script still have a few alternate endings to choose from, now its basically the planning of where to shoot, and how to get good sound. There are a few shots that build the setting in the first few...
I've got a friend who has coined the 'pick-up line of the year' and it goes something like this, ehem: "Nice shoes, wanna fuck?"
And a few of my friends thought it would be hilarious to make a mocumentary of a day in his life using that line. I'm not sure if I want the line to be ridiculously...
I like that style! I've never owned a cell phone though as shocking as that may seem, so I might be lacking some of the detail a fellow cell phone owner might have in making that.
I think I'm gonna write that one down though :)
I was also thinking EPIC MORNING PISS, I think imagination can...
So Sprint is having a competition for a 30 second short. Winner gets $25,000 and the rules are it has to be a maximum of 3 people in the short, for a max of 30 seconds, and it has to be under the theme of EPIC.
I'm trying to think of something that shouldn't be epic but I could make epic (eg...
I really wanted to go this year, but I knew nothing about which films to go to or how to choose which ones I wanted to watch, kinda new to this scene, but hopefully next year! I mean you can't live in Toronto and NOT go to the TIFF.
If you're rendering to upload, render it out as a Quicktime with a .H264 Codec, this is a pretty good codec in terms of file sizes and quality.
To put it in really basic terms though, it took me a few months of messing around with different settings to get a hang of what codecs output gives...
I want to go to school, because I network a lot better that way and I need to be organized to get shit done.
Anywho, I've heard York alumini are known to be involved a lot with the toronto film festival and the such...what does that even mean?
Anyone got any info on York to share? Or any...
