    First feature!!!!!!!

GJ on the indie gogo page. I would say just have a video of yourself talking to the camera with anyone else of importance from the crew too. Director and writer or co director and co director on screen for example. Tell us what it's about. It's a video you wish to make so creating a indie gogo...

Brain Storming Where To Go For Completion Funding

$8,000 is just depressing to see go down the drain. My best wishes to you on completing the film. I find it interesting that they are only willing to pay $5,000 for what they will get out of it. Is that $5000 for the rights, can you still have say in the directing or writing, if not can you...

How do you get your creative juices flowing?

    - Watching shows and thinknig of unexplored ideas briefly mentioned there. - Music that always strikes a chord with you. What does it make you think of? - Stories from friends. Take that and make it crazier. - Extremely bad experiences you've dealt with. Extremely good experiences you've had...

    MovieCloud Breaks Hollywood's Monopoly

It seems interesting and I'm willing to do my research and find out a little more. If it truly is designed to help us out, then all the better.

    Question about storyboarding.

Yes they should know to follow the actors unless it's noted that the character is gonig to walk OS for that shot. Tell your DP to make sure that they don't cut off the actor, unless noted otherwise. One little tip and strong communication can go a long way.

Would audiences believe a 'man screamer' in a thriller?

Hey where is the clip? I like that many of your posts have to do with believability. That's a great thing to check with others for in advance, rather than to realzie wow why did I do that! Is the man screaming the main character? If it's a side character, then yes it can work as lots of horror...

Has this ever happened to anyone while still in film school? ..Feeling of Exclusivity

Oh My Goodness. This is the reply I was asking for.... and more! It's worded in a way that you do understand what I mean and not too much of being unreasonably harsh. This is a young filmmaker that I've gotten to know that also really sees in me a chance to further himself. He's someone I bump...

plot Having trouble believing in my plot.

I don't see how this couldn't work. Ofc as most will say, it's hard to give advice based off a few notes. I would say what if one of the murdered's family members becomes so enraged, he/she's hellbent on not letting the murderer have it easy (i.e. doesn't want him taken by the cops) ? Maybe...

When you first stepped into freelance as a director/writer/DOP/editor/etc

Hi guys, I was wondering. How was it first starting freelance work? What things do you know now that you wish you could have told yourself in the past? Also how did you create your rates? Do some filmmakers or producers find making very low rates for yourself appealing? Or is it a kind...

Has this ever happened to anyone while still in film school? ..Feeling of Exclusivity

I'm still in film school right now. Even though I'm in film school, I enjoy making movies for professional clients. You could say.. my close friends and I are decently successful, well for film students atleast. It's because we know how to be professional and be a productive team. .... But...

How do you get your creative juices flowing?

Coming up with ideas and concepts never seemed to be hard for me. If you watch a lot of TV, films, certain lines (that have almost nothing to do with the main plot) can sometimes give you ideas. Funny things that happened to you can also become good material. Beautiful art pictures can give you...

What would you do with a months time on your hand?

Good question. I would do one of two things: 1. Take that film idea that you want to write/direct when you "make it big." Then make a small version of it:1 month of nothing is godsent! It'll show you that you're not that far from being able to direct something of that scale. It will also serve...
