Who wants to help me write a script?

EXT. WOODS (MOVING) - NIGHT John and Jill run along a road which winds up a slight incline. The full moon illuminates a large lake off in the distance. John peels off to the right, hops over a fallen log, goes through an opening and hurdles a picket fence. Jill stops short of the hurdle...

It's The End Of The World!!!

MDM why not reshedule, try and raise some additional money to pay your main players? It sounds like they need to commit to a tough training requime as well the shoot itself and I truly believe a little cash goes a long way... All the very best, Jim.

Who wants to help me write a script?

As the old saying goes: "Ideas are Ten a Penny" - hence the lack of anyone taking you up on your offer. So you can either carry on in the hope of finding someone in the same boat willing to join forces or do what most do and write it yourself - unless of course you can throw some money at it...

    Your Screenwriting Experience

Writing IS re-writing. I've written a first draft as quick as a week from a waking dream without any research etc. BUT have spent the past six months re-writing it. And have some started which are still incomplete... I've also spent months researching before writing a word. I've always...

80 page screen play dont know what to do with

Okay I tried very hard to read BUT a sp isn't a book - there are so many huge blocks of description and 'speeches' that I had to give up... sorry If you must put long blocks in then try and break them up into bit sized pieces, 3-4 lines. There is an enormous amount of flashbacks which not...

    Documentary filming question

"get a producer attached" - in the UK to get govt film funding you need a 'recognized' producer attached as they want to make sure of an end product. I thought maybe the Canadian system is the same - hence the comment. I'd love access to the 15 million pounds available in the UK BUT in order...

    archived-videos Chase Scene

Before actors Hunt for persons to collaberate with - a serious camera/sound/writer.= - form alliances/partnerships - then get some actors to fulfil your vision to a serious level. I wish you all the best - respectfully Jim.

    Short film script

S, there are just too many wryly's, not enough conflict - the relevance of their collage backstory - can't been seen, or even heard through dialogue. Plus it feels stagnant - add some movement, maybe get them outside... maybe a garden or something. It reads like a first draft, please don't...

    Documentary filming question

Hmmm, so you won't get a producer to oversee your project so that you get access to said 'funds'? Which seems a big part of their criteria... It may not work that way in Wall Street but if that's the way the game is played in order to get an opportuinty than why not get said producewr involved...

    Writing low budget action scenes.

@In every job I've worked I had to bring my own, and no one I know has a job where it is expected for the boss to arrange food for everyone.@ BUT you get a wage no? Feed the free help - no food no energy. Or put it this way you want people to give up there free time AND have them pay for...
