any tips for creating creepy lighting to a dark scene?

You always want to use lights. Even for dark scenes. Use a blue gel to make it look like the moon light. You could use the classic horror angle under lighting. Does somebody die in the scene? if so, I would use a more powerful light gelled blue as the moon, and have a light coming from...

    Red State on Netflix

I had the lagged video/audio problem too.... But even with having to stop every two minutes, it was a good film. kevin smith did a great job with this. it seems (for me anyways) that this is way different than his other works

    Matching cameras

Right, in order to truely 'match' the footage you will have to downgrade the AF100 footage.... Why do you have to use two cams?

    Canon 5D MK II question...

I thought that the live view/video mode were the same thing on the 5D, and to record video you simply hit the "set" button on back and to snap a still in live view you use ze shutter?? Therefore I was baffled at why her camera went down to 0.5" in live view while mine would not go less than...

    Canon 5D MK II question...

The other night me and my lady friend were out taking some nighttime photos, we both have the 5D MK II, I noticed that she was in live view mode shooting stills at like 0.5"? I tried to get my shutter to go lower, however I found that I could not get my shutter lower than 1/30. Neither of us...

Hey guys, I made this video over the weekend of the steadicam system I crafted for $110. It works pretty well. I kind of rushed on this video, but I will be using this tool in projects ahead! Let me hear your thoughts :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_87nFik8-w

I would say it's a mixture of getting good sound on set, and mixing in post. You can always record 'room tone' for some continuous noise through out your scene?

Need some help picking the best/most affordable camera for film and photography

Canon 5D MK II or 7D. if those are too much and out of your price range try taking a look at the Canon 60D or the Panasonic GH2. I myself just recently got a 5D MKII. It's great for photography. I've seen great looking film works come from it. Looking forward to making a film with...
