Need a EMPTY package from Malaysia!!

Fortunately for me my brother lives in the same city, just a matter of getting the box to look realistic enough to fool him.

Need a EMPTY package from Malaysia!!

My little brother has asked for 'the finest goat wool socks from Malaysia' for Chrismas as a bit of a joke/challenge that we do each year. Well goat wool is called Mohair and they make nice socks, however they generally don't come from Malysia... So the plan is ill buy the socks here in Canada...

Upgrade paths in an ever changing world...

That may be a source of my problems, again its all I have right now and I don't have access to ProRes or Log files. I know I did play around with the BMCC and RED codec files and was very impressed on the amount of tweaking I could do.

Upgrade paths in an ever changing world...

@Alcove Currently I have a Rode NTG-2, Selflix 600 OHM Condensir Mic, and a wireless Rider WM-308. The middle on connects to a 1/4" photo plug. XLR inputs on camera - I currently have an H4N Zoom for off-camera recording. It's good but it does add extra work flow in post and often sound files...

    New RED prices, Scarlet $7,950

The scarlet discount was nice, but the Epic (and R1MX) was significantly better, so much so that I think a lot of people will be debating the concept of going straight for Epic.

Upgrade paths in an ever changing world...

Okay, With everything changing so quickly and price drops etc, I'm hoping to get a new camera for a webseries idea I have... but for right now I am weighing the options out there and quite frankly I'm not seeing an easy was of doing this without spending +$4000. So I'm working on the upgrade...

editing Outsourcing Animation & CGI Work

I get where your coming from, however we just don't have the cash available for US/CAN as we are volunteer on projects (more a long the lines of I'll scratch your back you scratch mine kind of idea) and mainly hobbyists (we all have day jobs unrelated to video). Example of our most recent...

editing Outsourcing Animation & CGI Work

I have a couple film concepts that are being evaluated for production, and a few could would benefit from some Animation (2D) and potentially CGI work, however the question has come up if we could outsource the animation to a company operating in say China or India? Otherwise the concepts will...

    Submitting to your own Festival

Friend of mine is looking to have his own film festival/contest and the query has been if he (or people who help run it) could/should submit an entry. This would be focused towards ametures but there would be prizes (although if we don't claim a prize - no harm/foul if we screen?) His vlog on...

How do I find out where movies are being filmed to watch and learn?

I second directorik's advice: I once got an invite to a PSA out of the blue, helped them set-up up their RED cameras at the start then basically observed the rest of the day, help where I could, generally an all around useful experience.

    Filmmaking while on Vacation

Thanks for the bunches of good idea, yeah I'm thinking along the lines of self-mockumentary (aka not real but made to look real) of me running around. Anything more I think will require help I simply won't have. So my thinking right now (subject to change as I do more and more research) is go...

    Filmmaking while on Vacation

In one word: Yes More than one word: ideally I have the story concept and rough plot so I know what I need to shoot in each city. Another movie concept would be Angles and Demons. In the end I'll likely go with Mystery, Point A-2-B, or Mocumentary idea as those are I think easier to...

What's wrong the the (Hacked) Panasonic GH2?

I use the GH2 Hacked, its awesome for everything except low light conditions where I either add more light or faster lens. Great camera with Aquamotion @88Mbps! (higher quality demands faster cards and 88 vs 170 is less noticeable vs 24 to 88)
