From what I've seen, most film schools don't expect you to have necessarily made anything. All they want is people with potential. If you can come up with good stories and can demostrate they you love film, you should be fine. Thats basically what I've been told at my art college.

Can anyone suggest a good a camera for someone intersted in trying out the format? I'm interested in experimenting with super 8. I like the results I've seen people get. There are a large number on ebay, but I have no idea which are the good models.

I have a Sony Handycam DCR-SR55E as a basica camera. But it seems that one it outdated allready. They're a good line of cameras, I expect the newest models are good too.

Yeah it's understandable. A lot of people these days are terrible about reading things they sign. I feel bad for you. But we learn from our mistakes. I'm sure you'll never make the same one.

Well they've made one film without a solid script and it seemed to work from what I've seen. But yeah I'm quite dubious myself. There's going to be behind the scenes stuff filmed in paralell so if it does go completely wrong I'll try to upload a copy to show you.

The lesson to be learned here is to allways read anything before you sign it. You probably should have consulted a lawyer to look over the contract for you. At the end of the day you don't have to sign anything if you don't agree with it.

This felt like a teaser for another film. It was too short to be a short (if that makes sense). It wasn't bad. If you could make somethig a bit longer then you could turn out something really impressive.
