archived-videos Canon EOS T2i 550 HD movie scenes 1080P with special effects

It looks nice. On the first scene the focus was a bit off when we see the hitman on the floor. The shirt is nicely focus but neither the gun or the face. Sonyboo is right. It would have worked even better if the focus would have moved to the man behind, adding some tension to the scene. A bit...

I don't have a mac :-( ... yet. Saving some money for that. Actually we did apply a colour filter on the main part (not the prison) of the scene to look a bit vintage.

It looks great and funny! I really want to see this when it comes out.

Thanks Alcove, really instructive. I used Audacity for the audio. I spent a long time trying different modifications to the ADR but I didn't manage any better than what we got. Actually what I noticed is that the original audio had some small distorsion, and probably we hit the limits a few...

The audio wasn't as good as we wanted. We had to do some voice over, that's why there are audio differences. See the video below that shows some of the things we did. We didn't have experience recording audio. I have done some voice over work so I knew the basics, but we don't have a studio. We...

    archived-videos BY CHANCE: a Boston-based webseries

I didn't intend to criticize too much. I liked it, really. And rest assure I had played your role I would have done it worse :-) I would have film the whole thing, also it would be worse... and if i had written the script... well, that one would have been sillier and worse :-) As I said, she's...

I really like the idea of the visual explanation flash forward. I should have thought of that. B&W would have worked fine then.

    archived-videos BY CHANCE: a Boston-based webseries

I just watched ep 18. You did a great job there. I wanted to follow up more the story of the guy than the girl. Mainly towards the end of the session, there is some tension that is lost on the next scene. She looks good on camera, but looks a bit plain initially. Afterwards she's great too...

Thanks Positive Future, very useful feedback. We won't reshoot it for now, but sure I can use these tips for the next one. On the soundscape we had a nightmare... really a nightmare... Some parts we had voice over, and lipsync not always matching... So we basically tried to get it as right and...

    archived-videos guidelinefilm's "Voice In Me" -- teaser 1

(so you have more comments too :) ) I liked the second teaser you posted more, the lighting and camera move were cooler. But didn't say much. How did tou shoot that pan? The other one I like a lot the use of light and smoke effects. As a trailer/teaser it doesn't say much. The use of the...

Thanks Guideline. We filmed part of this short in Dusseldorf (Germany), hence the German car and police car :-) The prison was located in Netherlands, hence the bicycles :-) We had quite some unusable footage. Just got a new better camera. So I hope that we can avoid some issues next time.

Thanks a lot guideline. We put a lot of effort to get things right, but lack of time/knowledge/manpower/money sometimes has an effect. We had to adapt to whatever we had. For example some of the takes were meant to be done from outside the car, with more interesting filming... but when we set...

I know, but we are one French dude and one Spanish dude... we can't even make the films in our own languages :-) At least we have some funny odd accent mix, we are used to the comment. I know it would look nicer with native languages, but we are creating a new global trend... ahhahaha, I wish...

We completed our latest short micro budget film. This time we filmed and edited it completely ourselves. At least we learnt a lot from it, so next one will be better. Please give us feedback, we take it all. LEFT TURN. Based on a real story, two men play with luck, however luck is not always...

    Hate Actors

Probably more, and this is is applicable to the whole crew as well. Also probably 20% (to say a number) of indy films are badly scheduled and might never be completed. So it's all about confidence vs commitment. As actor I played in a student film as a supporting role. I had to come on set two...

    Hate Actors

Not all actors are the same, not all people are the same. If you have issues with all of them maybe there is something that you are doing wrong. Once an actor wants to make a living out of acting and not a hobby he/she will look for paid jobs. Also if they had already some paid jobs in the past...

archived-videos "Audacity" (Short Film in NYC)

Nice job. The chase is greatly filmed, and the music fits wonders. At the end, not sure if done on purpose by there are times where the image gets a bit out of focus, was the camera set on autofocus? And what happens with the coffee cup? He comes with one, leaves it on the floor... and then...

    cinematography Matching Shots

What I would do is to make sure to have enough footage to see when both can match, trying to make the same movements over and over. Also camera distance and settings must be the same, else there will be a clear before and after. You can also get very close to her face or her back, then the...

So, I have this scene in my script...

You can use a green screen, indymogul shows you how to do that in one of the tutorials. She can jump from a place that there is no more than 30 cm (and still be carefull) that looks like the place where the rock is. Then the falling part either use a dummy or green screen. The smashing part...
