archived-videos Skeemin' on a dig site - Cinematic film

Almost as good as Niklas Hjulström's Burning, so you better cut the opening Aa-ah -- Aa-aa-ah -- Oah.

    archived-videos 8 minute crime/drama character study

Not bad. It means I think you're building the story darn well and I get curious to see what's more to come. I suppose I like the movie. Been writing so much that I don't watch like your intended target audience, so I don't really pay attention to if the film is in my liking or not. Mainly...

What to do with director's credit?

She should use an alias. Only the director can be credited as director.

It's not about uncool or cool, or about me, but about the movie maker getting his film into the best possible shape for the festivals. Better do everything in your power, everything you possibly can to rise above the masses, or you will get nowhere.

Downloaded your short and made a test re-cut. Basically I made a main character out of the dog. Password: indietalk-VIP https://vimeo.com/170480922

    archived-videos Gunhand - A european western feature film (2017)

All right. Amazing DP work. Worth a like on Facebook even if I never do that. You might want to promote it with a bit more old fashion western feel. There's something wrong with westerns of today and you might want to avoid coming off as one of those.

Gets better and better. Open with just the dog... and then the man appears?

    Purchasing song rights

Cheers (ice-tea in my bottle). I mean that the unlikely, but yet existing agreement, might be so unlikely to someone that it bites you in the ankle.

    Purchasing song rights

Cracker, maybe you better send a copy of the contract, with the video, to the festivals? Otherwise some concerned member of the jury decides to be a hero when he thinks you might don't have the rights and disqualifies your film, to keep you out of trouble. People tend to be like that and some...

character Anybody care to help me name a character?

Brilliant. Exactly what I had in mind. People would see that and go "got to check this out no matter who is in it". Huh. Was without internet for a whole week. Apparently it is possible to survive it, after all.

character Anybody care to help me name a character?

Could name the movie after the main character's unfortunate birth name that his mom gave him. The name he hates.

character Anybody care to help me name a character?

He's at least the DIY GUY. What's his motivation? - to talk bad guys out of it by throwing verbal curve-balls? You'll probably know what he's called when you know what he sees as his superpower, or did he make his costume to prove to the world that superheroes are fakes?

Solid in this case means getting away from the synopsis thing that you have going on. A killer disguises himself as a ghost during a student’s attempt to get paranormal activity on film.

    Stabbing a dummy

Good acting. You can't really get away with showing the knife penetration anymore, because of the 180 degree rule. What you want is the cop's POV. Just before he gets his gun out you cut. Her stomach from the side. The guy can stab her twice so we see the knife repeatedly. With the...

    Stabbing a dummy

I don't think you need any blood. You only need the knife going in. Then you cut. The key is that the dummy moves the way that the guy does in the shot that you already have.

    First feature...need help

It's easy to fix the daylight in this case thanks to that you have so much black in the picture.
