    archived-videos Macbeth 3000: PG-13 Trailer

It really looks great, Spat. If it weren't such a haul from Boston to Toronto, I'd be there for the premiere. Good luck. Break some legs. No, wait... that's stage talk. Have you figured out how many tickets it'll take to put you in the "$100M opening weekend" category? I mean, yeah, the...

    Actors

You can also get a feel for acting - maybe even pick up some valuable experience - in local community theater. Acting in a local stage production will most likely show you the often overlooked details that go into acting like the whole rehearsal process.

Wow - that's great news! Congratulations!!!

    Is P2P now illegal?

I'd say the ruling against display of the Ten Commandments ranks up there. The original "common carrier" perspective on cable lines was warped to begin with. Stringing cable lines through a city is expensive and someone put them there - they didn't commonly materialize from the void. As a...

Steve, thanks for sharing Celtx. I've downloaded and given it a quick test drive - pretty slick application... on both the PC and Mac.

    Supergun website upheaval

Looks good, Spat. The only minor change I recommend is putting some "what, when, where" info on the ticket reservation order form. Just a summary of the event should do. Other than that, it's looking good.

    Any PC users here?

A word about the drive space... Since video editing is both processor and storage intensive, consider putting a pair of drives in a RAID configuration with the drives striped. It really cuts down on the I/O time. That being said, and with Windows (assuming that's what you're running on the PC)...

    editing avid or premiere?

On the low end of things, it may be worth looking at Sony's Vegas Movie Studio as an editing tool. It's a slightly crippled version of their full Vegas editor (limited numbers of tracks and some other limitations) and it quite usable. I bought the complete set - Vegas Movie Studio + DVD...

How has everyone enjoyed their hosting?

Overall, I'd say it's just slightly below adequate. No problem with down time, support is okay though nothing spectacular. The single issue I have with the hosting is lack of advanced control. My domain (not the Dedham Digital domain) picks up a lot of spam. Other hosting services offer spam...

    Affordable Webhosting!

Proper spelling and grammar go a long way toward building corporate credibility. When I see "Are your server's Unix, or NT?" in the FAQ's, I tend to question the company's professionalism and credibility.

So what did you do this week? (end 06/12)

Let me think... the week was a blur, really. Did lots of yardwork, that much I remember. Built a platform for the green screen studio and put a Robo-Sapien in place. Figured I could reduce the number of variables (locations and actors) to practice camera angles and movement. And it's just...

    Toronto 48hour Film Challange

Looks like you're off to a good start... caffeine is the 100% natural replacement for sleep. If I lived closer to Toronto, I'd definitely offer to join the team and particpate in the carnage. Keep us posted (as much as possible given the time crunch) on this!
