As anyone got anything on the 'Internet Movie Database'?

Oddly enough I've got an entry in IMDB from my appearance in the Michael Legge movie "Democrazy."

    first Album released

I don't speak German... or read it, either. But I did notice "The Curse of the Invisible Man" and "Of Consequence" mentioned on the site.

    My advice? Surrender!

It's starting to look doubtful that I'll get into this round... Just finished moving, all my filming equipment is either in boxes (less fragile stuff) or hidden in room corners (more fragile stuff I don't want to trod on.) Can you still win an award - say best poster art - without actually...

archived-videos Some old work of mine (8 pieces of work) check it out.

Hmmm... these are all "Forbidden" movies? The links don't work - they all result in a "you don't have rights to access the files..." error.

    Safety concerns

Thanks, Will. That really is some great information. It's definitely worth planning a pre-production meeting to go over these issues where applicable.

archived-videos ITOOFC #4 Rules, Details, and Knick Knacks

We had a killer story idea (no pun intended... or maybe there was) and it would have been the champ hands-down. We plotted out scenes, got started on storyboards... then re-read the contest rules. I don't know what I was thinking - I missed the "communicating with the dead" concept requirements...

    Building a set

Shaw's got the right idea... you don't want to try building a set without knowing a little something about framing - just to keep the risk of injury, destruction, chaos, mayhem, and ultimate lawsuits to a minimum. As one of the few community theater actors who knows how to handle powertools...

    My advice? Surrender!

I don't think I'll be using the green screen this time. I'll allocate a lot more time for editing and muscial composition. Beware, Zen.

Hijacking a thread!: Let's play What If...

For what it's worth in the overall scope of this discussion - I talked with the owner of a 600 seat cinema here in town (it's divided into 2 300-seat theaters, so two features playing at a time.) One of his biggest concerns over running indie films is advertising. Clearly it's a heavy expense...

    archived-videos My animated feature

Nice trailer! You should add the .wmv file extension so it downloads/streams properly. There were a few parts where the dialog was sketchy - squished by the music track and fading in and out, though that could just be the compression at work.

    quickie firewire question

If you're using Windows XP, the Firewire port should be recognized at the OS layer. You should be able to plug a camera (or any other FW device) into the port and have the "New Device Detected" alert appear almost immediately - once you see that, you're good to go.

    archived-videos New short, "Not Alone"

Nice short, Scott. Maybe it's my untrained eye, but I couldn't figure out which scenes were shot on 16mm, 35mm or DV. Not that it makes any difference, I just wanted to see if there were differences. Good work - congratulations to the cast & crew... written and produced in 8 days... wow!
