    Can't export to pdf...

Downloaded but I can't import correctly. Cinergy's rtf export messes up the formatting and copy and paste simplifies the formatting. Any good ways of exporting from cinergy or getting the file into openoffice without messing up the formatting? The best was rtf but like, the scene headings...

    Can't export to pdf...

I've tried everything, but everytime the pdf writes, it opens with the error message 'font not set' on every page, which are all blank. I'm using Cinergy and their helpdesk (very helpful by the way) have struggled but found no cure, so ive left it with them. Are there any other programs for...

    So you draft a script...

That's good advice from both of you. Thank you. I'll show a wannabe scriptwriter friend of mine tonight and see what he says. EDIT - Funny thing happened. I showed it to a friend of mine who writes but I was sure he'd hate it. Anyway he loved it. In fact we were talking about it and having...

    So you draft a script...

What next? I've just written a short (ten pages) and redrafted it once, changing some lines, cleaning up some dialogue. Adding some description. Now with my other shorts I've written, I'm not happy after one draft. I'm not usually happy after a couple but this one I have a good feeling...

    archived-videos The Haircut - a short film

I really enjoyed that. Excellent choice of music, great cinematography, good acting and a nice idea. Dare I say a perfect example of a good, low budget independant short.

    Acting Games

One we did in drama class which is great for improvising and getting in the spirit of a character and well, warming up is the simple argument game. You basically have one person attempt to start an argument with the other. It can get as heated as necessary until resolved. It can achieve some...

    IndieTalk: The Movie (Story Development)

Awesome, well I'm glad you get what I'm proposing. I have started the script so after a few pages I'll send it to whoever wants to look it over and get an idea for what I'd potentially do. EDIT - Wrote about ten pages of combined script but decided it would be easier to write the story's...

^ Haha... That definitely looks like a fun action movie. How much has it cost to make? How long was the shoot? Is there a thread on all this somewhere that I'm missing?

And singing too... http://seejefbreaktherecord.com/player/player.asp This guy has been playing classic rock songs for over 47 hours now (the counter at the bottom is a little out). His voice is hoarse but he's still going strong.

    Review for new screenplay

Ok first off it's potentially a good screenplay, but as it stands it needs a bit of work. FIrst thing is the formatting. There's a good description on how to format a script here... http://www.exposure.co.uk/eejit/script/index.html It's a tad out of date but a good script editor will make...

Are you guys still in the preliminary stages of getting an idea together then? I'm gonna scramble a treatment together and I'll pass it on to contempovision when it's done. If I've missed some deadline or story decision a few pages back it's no worry, I'll be doing the treatment anyway so no...

    Mellow Acoustic Instrumental Work

The Public Music Project seems like a great idea, but at the moment my recording time is limited so I'd sooner write with a proposed project in mind. If I find myself recording anything in the next few weeks though I'll definitely submit it to the site. Hell, if I get round to finishing the...

A Bit Of Fun... 10 degrees....

I was in a TV play Treasure of Zavimbi with Ian Mercer when I was ten. Ian Mercer was in Master and Commander with Russell Crowe, who did A Beautiful Mind with Ron Howard, who did Apollo 13 with THE BACON.

film-school Film school is how you make it

The more I think about it, the more relevant my degree appears to have been in teaching me what I know so far about film. It is a heavily theory based course which whilst also incorporating media after the second year you can pick options which relate only to film. We've been taught film...
