    Script intro, check her out

My mistake but I wasn't attacking you. If you want to be a screenwriter you have to take criticism. There is no way around that. When you say you don't care about the rules to the writing, thats fine, write short stories or novels. Screenplays are a very specific type of writing. I am not...

    Script intro, check her out

You may be able to curse in your descriptions, but using racial slurs will turn a lot of people off, you are not Quentin Tarantino you cannot get away with the same things he can. How to get one's screenplay noticed

Enter contests, the good ones. Worst case scenario, they get read. Best case scenario, they get bought, you get an agent and fast track to being a working screenwriter.

3 Minute Film Screenplay - Advice?

I like the story, quirky and fun. The only suggestions I could come up with would be to maybe have a person leaving the interview room before him either acting extremely distraught or extremely arrogant. Either would add a sense of heightened distress to him.

    SCREENWRITERS RESOURCES

I have looked through this site for a couple days now and haven't found a thread like this. There is a lot of working writers/aspiring writers floating around in the ether of the site. I think that there should be a central place for those seeking technical advise in story/character...

Do you ever regreat knowing the process?

Knowing the process has given me a more technical POV when it comes to watching film. I do generally like a lot fewer films that are put out now, since I have learned the process. I believe that has less to do with me picking at what others are fumbling, and more to do with studios...

Sorry to bump an old thread. You really can't write internal motivation, thats a tool of a novel writer, not a screenwriter. A lot can be said about a characters motivation by subtext. For example if you are thinking a spouse of cheating, you can't ask "are you cheating" well you can but...
