Shooting "Guerilla style" w/out getting sued?

http://www.kcmo.org/idc/groups/parksandrec/documents/adacct/filmshootpermit.pdf Hope this helps, It seems to be a KC film permit, you just fill in whereyou want to shoot at and shit. It seems like it might help. Wouldn't call it guerilla though since you are getting good permission.

Shooting "Guerilla style" w/out getting sued?

Well a big city like KC would attract a larger filming crowd which may make it a higher chance of having a filming locations section.

Shooting "Guerilla style" w/out getting sued?

Check your town's website and see if they have a filming section, it might have a list of places that you can shoot at. I dont know if a lot of towns do this but mine does.

I get what you're saying Buck. I mean it's definately a really good one, but for all around laughs Strike Back just had the laughs rolling for me.

    top-list Top 5 Comedies

I have to agree with this list except for Mallrats being number one. You didn't put in Clerks 2 though, it's ok I guess since it wasn't that great.

How much footage to do you get in a day.

I haven't shot much so I don't have a lot of experience with these sorts of things. Though now I can now see the different circumstances. I guess I knew there were different circumstances but I didn't actually process the different amounts of effort to be put in. Though this input from other...

How much footage to do you get in a day.

OK so I see you guys are obviously not satisfied with how I worded my question. I guess I'm just wondering on average or just generally.

Where to get ideas for a film?

Also although some may not agree with me. I sometimes pop an interesting idea in my dreams. Usually it's just rubbish that doesn't make sense, make if you try to put the sense into it, it may become a solid idea.

    How to avoid choppy cuts?

Ok I'll make sure to get it up within a day or two, so I'm still trying to check it over. The other problem may have been part of the conversion. I had the files as .mod off my camera (which suck) and I converted them to .avi so there is a few image problems. Is this also possible to be the...

How much footage to do you get in a day.

This is a simple question: How much footage do you get in a day while you are filming? I guess it just interests me to see how range there is in footage done. For me to answer this; I get around 1 min from an hour or two of shooting.

    top-list Top 5 Comedies

    1. Dr. Strangelove 2. Pee-Wee's Big Adventure 3. I Love You, Man 4. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back 5. Step Brothers (juvenile but hilarious) I'd like to put down Being John Malkovich (which is amazing) but it's more just a strange dramedy.

    How to avoid choppy cuts?

OK I hear you guys. It's just i only have the first 1 min of the film and I started editing, it might just be because there isn't enough follow through with one minute...idk. But I'll try to post it up soon. It is only one minute though. And I think it feels sort of jumpy.

    How to avoid choppy cuts?

So I'm working on some editing on my first short and I seem to have the problem of my cuts looking very choppy. Basically I have short scenes that all place later then the last scene.I wouldn't quite call it a montage or series of shots. But every time I make a cut it seems like it is to...

cinematography Need a way to soften.

Well I've been googling for a place that has any type of lighting near my city and haven't found anything. I think my best chance might be doing it online even though I'll have to pay shipping.

REMAKES??? AGAIN? I MEAN, AGAIN, AGAIN?!!

I mean obviously an excessive amount of remakes will become annoying but not every idea for a remake it bad. In my opinion I think some movies would be fascinating in 3D to see if we could redo what they couldn't do. I'm not saying to put in mindless CGI but CGI isn't always a bad thing. Also...

Starting a production company. From the ground up.

Ahonestly I wouldn't even start the company until you have a good ammount of shorts or so. I don't know much about business but this seems like a large load for a 19 year old. I'd just try to get your grounding first. Assemble a crew and make aa few shorts or features. Afterwards you and your...

    lighting Issues with changing light

Yeah I was thinking getting the window to where it is clearly visible to look through and then pump up the rooms lighting. I'll give it a test later.

cinematography Need a way to soften.

I hear smearing petroleum jelly on my UV filter or shooting the light through a nylon stocking give similar effects. Is this true or no?
