archived-videos Ctrl Z (Multi Award Winning Short)

Hi Guys, this isn't my movie, I was involved in the slightest of ways (a script reading here, a bit of pre vis there) but this is a really great short film: Written and Directed by James Kennedy Director of Photography - James Oldham CTRL Z has screened in 19 film festivals internationally...

archived-videos "Oh no, a good idea" - A personal short film

really enjoyed that. Because its so off the wall, I don't really have anything to suggest. I mean that in a good way, btw. Maybe look at the rolling shutter that occurred in some parts? Some of it looks a bit 'digital video' and I think the titles could be better. (The actual title of the...

archived-videos Ivan Campo Live Recording [3:51]

How do chums. Thought I'd share this video from an opening recording session by Ivan Campo. Its an on going series by Debt records where they get bands from their roster to record a few tracks in front of an audience and get the audience involved too...

[Mar 26] What are you working on this week?

That's a killer. Was meant to be doing one next weekend, but our team imploded. Not sure why but I'm sad all the same. I got asked to direct too. So this week is eating Easter eggs, lava field vfx for a tv pilot, feature treatment and short screenplay.

    archived-videos Falling Ghost [5,15]

Shot it just before the firmware update for GoPro where you can set exposure. Yeah, just walking about with the old GoPro on a gimbal. Really small budget. Did the entire thing in a day.

    Soderbergh

Why do you say that? It's been done already. Phones shoot HD.

[Jan 15] What are you working on this week?

Contemplating switching from Directing more to screenwriting more, then getting back into directing after that when I'm (hopefully) a betterer writer.

archived-videos Showreel: What do you think?

I defo prefer the music on this one. Snappier pace will please crackerfunk ;) It really does feel better. I think theres an errant cut at the end where you seem to be timing it to the beat. Maybe take a look at that. It might just be me, but on some of the flatter shots you dwell on them...

    The Disaster Artist

I wouldn't have said they were trying to top 'the room' with 'the disaster artist'. Ones a Biopic and ones a drama (later comedy). I would also say that while I thought of Ed Wood while watching it, they again are two seperate beasts. One is a highly stylised flight of fancy that was made to...

archived-videos Showreel: What do you think?

Nice. Flows well, low key music choice. I don't like it when people dubstep their showreels. There's one shot of a lady at a piano that looks odd. Is it squished somehow? Its around 1.32. Also not sure about the quote at the end, but that's just a preference thing. I'd have the two girls...
