archived-videos Did stand up for my first time...though you guys may enjoy.

Thanks! I have a bit of an advantage being an actor with a ton of improv experience. Still...it ain't easy. Its funny because however you are on stage is exactly how the audience is...if you're nervous, they are nervous. If you're happy and having a good time...they'll be doing the same.

haha...did you give me a link to public speaking on youtube? Public speaking and stand up are on two different planes my friend although I see where you are coming from. I understand the mechanics but I'm a working actor that has never done standup prior to the video you just watched...

    The Worlds Greatest Extra

Actually guys...several of those clips you see him in that reel are co star and guest stars on TV. However, yes...he started to get a pretty decent following doing extra work. I think he may still be doing extra work, as well....I do know that he's doing legit work though. his name is: Jesse...

    Dating question

I would say super 1997. It was 14 years ago! PS: Most didn't have cellphones...sadly they had BEEPERS. Don't ask me how I know... Embarrassing.

    Actor Reel

Its like if we were friends and I asked you to help me move into my new apartment and then the next day you asked me if I could help you cut down a tree and I said "Sure, if you pay me". I think charging them to do a reel at this point is tacky and is a surefire way to make people thing you're...

anonying CL ad for free filmmaker

Its kind of funny seeing this from another angle...as an actor I can't tell you how many projects are for copy/credit/meal... I wrote a short and I wanted to bring on a crew to shoot it for copy credit and food because the budget was pretty non existent. I posted this on CL and within an hour...

    Web design…

I'd go with design one but I would ditch the harsh colors. Make it warmer...maybe a heavier pastel green with lighter greens, browns/tans

    Cutting SAG Out

Also, here's a question. If you, as a director/producer, hire union actors in your non union film...and down the road you find funding for a much larger budget movie where you can use star names...Can/Would the union allow you to use their agreement if they knew your previous film knowingly...

    Cutting SAG Out

There are absolutely thousands of good non-union actors...and they are spread out by age and location. Calling a non union actor amateur isn't a bad word. It's like saying I'm an amateur golfer...I can be good...but I'm not a pro. I'm not making my living as a golfer. My point is that the...

    Cutting SAG Out

Wow...the only reason you would use a sag actor is for box office draw? Come on? Really? If you're hiring non union actors you are hiring (on average) amateurs. Sure there are a handful of amateurs that get into the union early, but they usually pay dearly when they don't have a resume to...

    Dealing with actors agents

First of all you're better off calling in my opinion...as most of the agents emails aren't available. Second...Personally I would send Mark Sikes an email. He writes a column for showfax (www.showfax.com) but he's also a casting director in Los Angeles that has cast well over a 100 larger...

    Best Sound Options For T2i?

I got a sennheiser k6/me66 for about 200 in near mint condition on ebay. You can make a boom and buy a mount for it for $40. Then you can manage to get a zoom h4n used...for probably 200 if you really look hard. Then all you need is an xlr cable...which you can get pretty cheap. Aside from...

    Question about lenses and adapters.

I'd be more worried about sound and lighting than which lens to use.
