    Any BMPCC Users?

I love my 2k, but have been thinking about picking up a pocket cam to be a bit more mobile. Anyone using it? How do you feel about it?

    archived-videos Old music video work

Two old music videos.... http://vimeo.com/80430352 The first is a combination of weird animations of photographs and in camera lens flares for Panoramix's "We are coming." The maker of the track also runs a local video store called Film noir video. I have been a customer of his for years and...

Total price for decent level filming?

DONT BUY SHIT UNLESS YOU 1. Cant find a professional operator or someone you know to help you. 2. Are shooting on something that costs total under $2000 because you cant make a movie otherwise. The odds are very good someone got a gear boner and bought a lot of shit and would by psyched to...

    Directing Actors - giving feedback

I've heard that "Faster and more intense" rumor as well. The first thing I always do regardless of whether its a DP, editor, colorist, whatever- I always point out something positive. At the very least, it keeps them close, and opens their ears to whatever you say next. It is important not to...

Total price for decent level filming?

When you say "make your first professional indie film" do you mean as a cinematographer? Or as a director? As both? I think before you can figure out what you need gear wise, you need to figure out what you have talent wise- that will decide the "level" of film. From there, you can choose...

Short I directed with Rachel Brosnahan of 'House of Cards'

Great short, loved the look. I found it a bit verbose, but that didnt throw me in the end. Solid work all around.

Audio drift Sony vegas pro 12

If it starts in synch and then moves out, you may have a problem with audio timecode. Yes, I know a second is always a second, but I have seen clips getting flagged at the wrong "timecode."

    archived-videos Green Screen Test

Motion blur would help, however even an erode (not a shrink) and a few pixels of blur would help. How close was the subject to the greenscreen? Giving it a bit of separation helps a lot. From there, some color correction would go a long ways.

    Helloooooooo

Really, Flame was developed independently and eventually acquired by autodesk. Combustion was a much lower end product (and software only). But I get your point.

    Helloooooooo

Wow, awesome, the website looks great Will. Do you do much Flame compositing? In response to your question trueindie- I don't know. I started in Nuke 5 years ago and only got into Flame later. I have continued to use both depending if I was at home or not. Now with Smoke on Mac, I am...

    Helloooooooo

If you are a filmmaker the blackmagic pocket camera would be a better use of funds then a 7D. However, if you are trying to use your camera for more than just video, yeah- the 7D is more well rounded. Without any budget for software, you can either beg friends with gear and experience or...

    Helloooooooo

Trapcode is surely a bargain at under 100 bucks. My only point would be something shot will be better and less processor intensive. Ultimately, the most powerful tool will always be the one you are comfortable and experienced using.
