If it starts in synch and then moves out, you may have a problem with audio timecode. Yes, I know a second is always a second, but I have seen clips getting flagged at the wrong "timecode."

Motion blur would help, however even an erode (not a shrink) and a few pixels of blur would help. How close was the subject to the greenscreen? Giving it a bit of separation helps a lot. From there, some color correction would go a long ways.

Really, Flame was developed independently and eventually acquired by autodesk. Combustion was a much lower end product (and software only). But I get your point.

Trapcode is surely a bargain at under 100 bucks. My only point would be something shot will be better and less processor intensive. Ultimately, the most powerful tool will always be the one you are comfortable and experienced using.
