Hehe! I'm an editing software whore I suppose. I did the Vegas thing For Vegas 8&9 and switched to Premiere, which I'm comfortable with. You can get a job with Media Composer, though, if need be. I have FCP 7 and X and I'm not feeling it. It works fine, but not my thought process. :)

Here's the plan - with all the hoopla about FCP 10 and time passing without fixes, I think I'll become, or attempt to become, proficient with Avid. I downloaded Media Composer 5.5 free trial and it doesn't look impossible. I know my way around Premiere to a relative extent and I think this will...

Just skate wheels and home made track. I figured out how to butt the 3/4" track for smooth seems. Use schedule 80, 3/4" electrical conduit. Yellow tipped hardwood dowels fit inside nice and snug. BTW Michael Bay uses Panavision Hologram recorders. ;)

I have mixed feelings about SOPA. I don't take copyright infringement lightly, but we can't have censorship, either.

They have, the FS100 and the AF100. Speaking for the fs100, new picture profiles are coming out all the time negating the highlights issue. Throw a Zeiss zf or a cinelens on there and it is unbelievable. They even have a picture profile to match the 5DMII. No line skipping, either.

How true. If you're working every moment just to survive, that's a different story. Just bide your time and think about projects you want to do; dream a little.
