    New Irish Drama

Ahh very nice. Dialogue excellently captured. Very well done to the production sound mixer and boom op. Did I hear an American police siren in there? :P I do wish I could have seen a few more estab shots - overall I think the camera angles were a bit too tight and close-in. I love the Irish...

    Super 16mm or Red Epic???

Considering Avatar 2 and The Hobbit are both being shot on the Red Epic as I type, I think you're safe with either choice. Just do some research on how to color correct it nicely, etc. A huge part of it is the lenses. Cohen Bro's Cinematographer uses Cooke lenses with the Red - they look...

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

hehehe yeah. Last movie I watched: Back to the Future 2. I had never seen it, figured nows a good a time as any, Started out hating it (cheesy make-up and performances of futuristic characters) and then it went back in time to the 50s and had a very good recreation of the original movie. 7/10!

    Comparing two lenses -- opinions?

I highly suggest going to your local camera shop and testing out lenses on your camera. I am a bit skeptical on customer reviews and hear-say on the internet - find out for yourself!!!

lighting Feature film with no lighting?

Even the most "found footage" films I've worked on I've seen many lighting techniques used, even if it's a simple French Flag or a white bounce. I can't think of anything that doesn't use any lighting at all! :/

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

@Pete the reason why Jesse James is awesome is the movie title gives away the story and who kills him, so you're waiting the whole time for when he does it.

"The Catch" seems like it would be an extremely horrible romantic comedy starring George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez. Human trafficking or drugs? Or mafia body dumps?

What's wrong the the (Hacked) Panasonic GH2?

Ya!!! I'm starting a campaign to get people to stop writing about how such and such camera is better because ________ and to go out and actually shoot something with what they've got (or to stop them from reading Amazon reviews and actually BUY a camera). :)

What's wrong the the (Hacked) Panasonic GH2?

I personally like to go out and make movies that communicate to people. I don't like wasting time arguing about the quality of two equally competent cameras - whatever floats your boat or is easier for you to use to achieve your art is the best choice IMO - even if that's an iPad camera.
