Where would you live if you could live anywhere? Some factors to consider: the climate, filmmaking opportunities, cost of living, day job salary etc. As soon as I'm done with school, I'm planning on moving somewhere nicer than backwaters of Finland.
I'm more of a sci-fi fan than a horror fan but I usually enjoy both. I'm not that into pure horror but mostly combinations of horror and other genres like horror comedies, action horror and of course sci-fi horror.
Try searching for threats on finding actors. (the search function on this site sucks). If you are in an area saturated with actors, a simple online ad (Craig's list or Mandy's etc.) can do the trick. Otherwise you'll have to be more creative and contact amateur theaters or drama departments...
Kind of a dump question. When outlining, the guru's say you should have like 40-50 "scenes" in your outline. But a film "scene" can be anything from a quick 10 second one to a 10 minute chase sequence. Is there a more reliable way to guesstimate how long the story will end up? When do you know...
