No more youtube revenue for us

You have a point there Buscando. As creator you could check the kind of ads you would accept in a list. As advertiser it should be possible to select the kind of content where you want your ads to appear. Btw, officially they can say it isn't censoring. Don't forget that social media have been...

In Philadelphia, Spring is behind schedule. I want a refund

We are sorry to hear you are unhappy about the seasons. Unfortunately, we can not reimburse any paid fees for the delayed Spring. We need those funds to pay Winter's overtime. Thank you for your patience. Kind regards, Autumn, Communications Manager of the Four Seasons.

No more youtube revenue for us

She didn't meet the new criteria and lost ad revenue. Revenue that you don't get anymore can't be used to grow a channel. So maybe it just felt like cencorship?

No more youtube revenue for us

A sad pattern. As far as I can find info on it there has been 1 mass shooting in The Netherlands since 1977. (Probably even further back, since I picked 1977 because that year there was a hostage situation in a train, where 2 hostages were killed by terrorists and 6 terrorists died when the...

    How can I become a professional(-looking) screenwriter?

Being a professional means you have to 'be more than the skills of the craft'. Being a great writer who wrote a great story means nothing if nobody ever reads it. So you need to network and you need to market yourself. The best marketing and networking is getting your scripts turned into movies...

    What makes horror to horror

Well said. It is the synergy of elements. Just like a great apple pie is great because all ingredients are great and in balance. Give 2 people the same ingredients and one can make a great one while the other might fail.

    What makes horror to horror

I think 'classic horror' is about fear. (While gore and splatter seem indeed more geared towards disgust and 'humor'.) Sometimes it is the unknown that instills fear. Sometimes the viewer knows what to fear, while the main characters do not (yet). And sometimes both viewers and characters know...

It's never easy :P We all have that same challence: creating that fanbase to expand our audience beyond the people we know.

    Help Please!

I'm sure you mean 'only on demand platform' available to you? Having no job is terrible. How come there are no jobs? What kind of job are you looking for? Anyway: I understand you need money. So I understand you think you need Vimeo Pro. But the question is: who will want to pay for your...

Do Directors need to be tough?

@Indietalk: to me it didn't sound like an on set event, but something during preproduction. (Otherwise firing someone on set: it has quite some consequences for budget and planning.) So, I tend to be with Quality and Directorik: She thinks it is not smart: why? Uncertainty? Not enough trust in...

    Panasonic GH4 not cinematic enough?

Sony A7s(II) are full frame, they also have the worst rolling shutter. There is always a compromise. And what El Director says: 'cinematic' is not only about the camera. Shane's remark was about 'how cinematic out of the box' it is to him.

    Panasonic GH4 not cinematic enough?

Indeed, so the depth of fields is different and so is fotondensity on the sensor. There are very few full frame cameras out there. Most are S35. Try to find someone with a GH4 to try and test it, before buying. Never buy a camera you never had in your hands before.

    Panasonic GH4 not cinematic enough?

Do you understand why he thinks it feels more like broadcast than cinematic? I used the GH4 once: it is a M43 camera, but many people make nice things with it.
