Notorious (1946) 8/10 The story had some good twists in it. The romance seemed over the top but I guess that adds to the drama. A lot of tension. Good acting performance and camera work for sure.

Spellbound (B) Really great story use of psychology and the effects of it. It tended to be really sappy during some of the romantic parts. The way the camera shoots the characters in a portrait way was really interesting.

Hidden Figures (B) Really good story about intelligence and crappy social situations. Plus there is no smoking in the movie.

Arrival B- (spoilers) To understand the movie is like understanding a story that has no point. I enjoyed watching it but I don't think it holds up over time. It's about communication and time but the time element doesn't really make much sense.

I'm surprised that a certain war this year did not get a nomination for screenplay. Having said that my pick would go to LaLa Land. :hmm:

Has anyone been watching this series on netflix? I recently watched it and the series is really well shot and acted. I can't tell what is historically accurate though when it comes to the characters.

It's a fun movie! I think it's really well done and one of the best movies of the year for sure. It has a fantastic mix of reality and dream through the entire story.
