Notebooks, but I also keep word docs/PDFs of everything. I usually also just jot all my ideas into emails that I send to myself, so I also have an email folder specific to each project that I am working on
Adrift - 5/10 - eh, a run of the mill female coming of age story. The saving grace was the location where it was set - will have to save up some money to visit.
VHS - 6/10 - eh, didnt really do much for me - actually wish that there were some questions answered and wish that some of the "films" were actually better.
This is the reason why I am saying that H44 needs to do some research:
In what judicial system can a party decline to be named in order to further their own interests at the expense of another party?
And H44, I believe that Boston Legal mainly dealt with civil cases - totally different rules...
Where is the story going to take place? What time frame?
You already mentioned that you understand that Canada doesn't have a grand jury system (anymore...), so are you now going to write this during the time that Canada had a grand jury system or are you going to write this in current time in...
Skid Row - 7/10 - not a bad social commentary, though some points seemed to be pretty fake (or Pras was seriously delusional from his time on the streets) but still was good overall

Home is Where the Heart is
Blue Valentine
Annie Hall
Manhattan
Midnight in Paris (or pretty much any WA film)
Serendipity
10 Things I Hate About You
The Break-Up
Craigslist Joe - 7/10 - some of the things seemed obviously staged but didn't really distract from what the experiment was about. Was interesting.
Dear Zachary - 9.5/10 - I'm a sucker for true crime documentaries and since I never heard of this case, I was completely enthralled by this film...
Yes and no.
Read the comment sections in news articles and you will see how group mentality can turn on an issue. Thankfully these people are behind a computer, but it is, in a way, the same group think that I believe you are looking for.
Great Directors - 7.5/10 - was a good documentary and was interesting to hear them speak. I'm biased, but would've liked more Lynch and Linklater but was overall a good watch
