i suggest sticking with Quicktime if you have the means to compress it properly. On windows, Discreet Cleaner 5 is what I used to use ages ago before I went mac.

can you preview the files to play back rendered in the program? if so, just print to video, get it on tape, and then, capture it again, fool.

What I use is the Glidecam 2000 Pro (maybe its 4000, i can't remember) and it's defintiely not useless...but, it does take adjusting to. You need a couple hours with it. Also, balancing it properly is key. I was the one Spatula was refering to. We used it on the Orange Crush shoot and I doubt...

I don't think the film is long enough for me to seek distribution. It's just over half an hour. Maybe one day I'll release it online, but that won't be for a while.

the camera really doesn't matter when going online. it's all about how you feel shooting it in my opinion, the dvx is the best for documentary filming b/c of its manual focus and zoom (coupled with the servo features if needed).
