Yeah, I thought the film was powerful and the lead gal and most (not all) of the cast rocked, but the photography was nothing special and neither were the action sequences. And come to think of it, those digital dogs weren't that well done and were not scary. Odd. These are the things that big...

You can even use a lens without aperture control, you'd need a matte box, or Cokin, or some ND's.

16mm will give you, whether you like it or not, beautiful grain. Epic won't. You can add grain in post. The issue is does fake grain look as nice as real grain? I'll leave that one for the Gods. 16mm also won't give you as shallow DOF as an Epic. 16mm might give a little more DR too.

Bubble wrap is also not ecological. People are nuts about that. I think I'm going to stay with paper. Printed labels would be nice -- but I thought that Harvard research team proved it's impossible to print mailing labels and envelopes on desktop printers. Has there been a breakthrough?
