For sure, the rumblings were about the higher capacities. Save your receipt and I'll try my best to save you one of these Guinessi.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1031509-REG/lexar_lcf64gcrbna10662_64gb_pro_compact_flash.html I've pumped 847 clips through 2 of these without a single dropped frame. Note that people have reported trubs with the larger capacity versions, but most consider this brand/speed/capacity the...

Both videos you shared mirrored to a tee experiences that I've had with my 5DMKIII before I learned the truth about cards. I really can't comment with any authority on your specific situation beyond that simple truth. • If you are considering downgrading cameras, you have a point. • If you...

Nah, it could still drop frames at that write speed, maybe just not as violently. Personally, I'd slap a real card in there and do a proper test so one can, beyond the shadow of a doubt, either rejoice and/or eliminate it wholly from the list of possible issues.

    Transitions into other realm references

Hey no worries. Yeah I am almost anti CG to be honest (meaning my passion projects will gasp for air in a desolate sinking quagmire while an audience of two 50-something cinephiles (one in a spaghetti stained A Clockwork Orange t-shirt and the other one wearing a faded black RUSH 2112 tee) high...

More than that beer you want this to be the card and not something else, cuz then it's all gonna go sideways. I've been shooting 5D (granted MKIII) since go - and I have seen this before... personally. Not to be harsh but I would disregard anyone telling you that anything slower than a 1000X...

It's your card. I don't see anything trying to make an adjustment, I see dropped frames. On a 5D you have to shoot video on a 1000X (150MB/s). I'll buy you a beer if those stutters don't disappear when start using a proper card.

I also use celtx but they have gone to some kooky pay model. My old free one still works but it makes me save drafts with a new version number every time so it is a bit wonky for me now, been so wrapped up in shooting/editing haven't had time to care about it though. That being said, I draft my...

Are you using an SD card instead of a CF by any chance? Or a slow CF?

+1 for getting Steven Yeun AND Max Brooks though... wow.

Ah my good friend Jhoanna's shining role. Always love seeing her in that. I'm the guy that will always have a slant towards the simple, classic... and doable. I tend to stray from hardcore CG for this sort of thing, but not from film techniques or tricks in general. I'm coming at you with less...

You're hard work on nailing the sound did not go unforeseen by me. You completely eradicated the first thing that renders 90% of all independent efforts completely unwatchable... so I had to praise you.

    Police and my guns

A good deal for what? Do you mean just a location fee to shoot your scenes, unrelated to gunplay? Man I wish I could help more on this but I was in a fortunate situation (by design). I'm shooting blanks in the middle of the Mojave where I could actually legally be shooting live ammunition. So...

Um... this is outstanding. Not only the compendium itself but the oh so pertinent criteria you used. Nicely done.

Happens in practice often, just as I described. Even happened to me in'05 personally (but slightly different, on the TV side). I'm sensing your grasp is either a little behind the times, or rooted in big budget academia. I'd venture to guess frequenting the smaller film festivals hasn't been...

I suppose I could change my first parenthetical you are referencing from my first post here to "Producer", but in truth it's only a partially true statement either way. Because in the end its solely on the distributor, not the production house, to make sure all the T's are dotted and the I's...

Sorry not seeing what you think I was "sort of" correct on by your response. I can break down TV music more clearly for you, from personal experience even if you'd like. As a musician I got paid a service fee from the production company to write and record a theme song. This was lucky actually...
