    Where should I start?

That question I really can't answer that is on you as the director to determine what look you want for your films. I personally like digital cameras that are HD. One of the biggest reasons is with a digital camera I can just pop my memory card out of the camera into my computer and get to work...

    Where should I start?

Whatever camera you can get your hands on. I have made films on my iPhone and a Kodak DSLR before I got my FS 100. If the one you have works start with it. If not figure up your budget and research which camera fits into your budget. You can get a T3i for around 1k all the way up to the a...

    Where should I start?

If the camera you has films then you have something to start with for filming. Pick up a recorder for external sound and you can start making shorts on Youtube and Vimeo. As for the debates on what is best to start with you will get thousands of opinions. It is much cheaper to make a short...

    archived-videos Film Riot-MusicVideo Challenge

Your green screen wasn't evenly lit that is why you have the shadows of it. Also if it wasn't taped down tight it could be blowing due to a fan or ac causing the wrinkles. The rest of it was just what I expected from the song. I think this is one of the dumbest challenges they have done yet.

editing Best format when exporting in Premiere, to get the best quality in After Effects?

For Macs the best quality is Apple Prores 422 HQ as far as I know but it requires you have Final Cut Pro to have access to it.

From the Core seeks your help.

Help me make my first short film a reality. I am seeking donations to help cover costs for props, makeup, and a sound technician. I have a sponsorship with Zacuto for this project. I have also worked out a deal with Elfkin Studios to have the film professionally scored. I am looking to shoot...

    .MOV file for film festivals

From what I have seen most are wanting you to submit the films in Apple ProRes 422 HQ. You will most likely want to send that on DVD as the file will be pretty large. And it will be in HD. ProRes 422 HQ makes the film into a .MOV but it is a large file not fit for online viewing through...

archived-videos Zombies!- My new short film.

Not a bad attempt there are a few problems but that is to be expected. I'll point out what I think went wrong. 1. The blood on her leg isn't realistic. When she first turns over the blood would only be where the puncture was and not already streaking down her leg. 2. The zombie makeup...
