    IndieTalk Weekly Challanges Proposal

I agree that weekly would be near impossible for me. I already have way too many creative ways to procrastinate on writing (like the screengrab game). I don't need yet another. I'd go for quarterly.

    IndieTalk Weekly Challanges Proposal

I will try to participate. I have all this video equipment that I've done nothing with lately. Been focusing on writing.

Still surprised that after all the dead giveaways (at least I thought they were) nobody figured this one out. So here's another from the same film. Someone has to have seen this movie.

    Yup. I agree.

    Do you like your work?

Everyone is a critic and opinionated. I am my own worst critic. I think everything I turn out lately is substandard primarily because I can't give it 100% focus. Too many distractions with the day job and with life in general. But then I let a trusted friend read some material, and I am...

    RIP Pete Postelthwaite

Wow. I remember him most for Dragonheart. :( And I just saw The Town recently, too. Sad.

The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Man Chu? EDIT: Wait! Man, it's been years since I've seen it, but that was Murder by Death. Great movie!

The only movie released in 2004 that I feel can fit this description and meet all the criteria (sci-fi, love/hate, heady) is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Yes, I am being cryptic for a reason. Can't just blurt it out. It's like the game "Taboo". Not Bedtime stories, but it hit the US and UK market the same year. That should be sufficient to give it away. And once you know the movie, the other clues will be crystal clear. :D

    Name That Screengrab

Sci-fi covers many possibilities with squares and flairs. Could be windows of a ship or landing lights. Wasn't Alien because those landing lights were on a real model and not CGI, so they were misaligned. Wasn't E.T. Those were more cylindrical in arrangement. Not Bladerunner - not enough...

    Name That Screengrab

I was surprised to see someone who was recently married in India make an appearance. And yet another who seemed she'd be right at home in Alabama.

There's Something About Mary? That looks like Matt Dillon's ear.

    Name That Screengrab

Nope. :) Made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival and also got screened at Cannes before it hit theaters. A couple of the principal cast members were together in a different movie. Say his name three times.

    Name That Screengrab

Negative. But could be considered within the same genre (fantasy). And to really twist the irony of not being able to readily identify the movie, it's an independent feature. :D The finished film was held up for over a year before being released.

Mine for tonight, another movie that somehow flew under my radar, but caught for the first time today. Both my wife and I really enjoyed it. Cute story.
